Sweet Blossom

Hi all what a difference a day makes, woke up this
morning to dull, grey, yucky sky, come back Mr sun all
is forgiven. Watching the weather this morning
it doesn't look good for the rest of the week.
It's nearly April though so we should expect showers...
NOT.

Sketch to follow by our wonderful
Dawny.

I have used another digi image i got from cuddly buddly.
She is called Sweet Blossom and she is just so
Sweet

I have coloured her with my Polychromos pencils and
blended with sansador and paper stumps.
The butterfly is from Oliver orchard stamp set.
I cut a shaped card using frilly #2 dies from go create.
Also used nestie ovals and a Marianne creatables oval.
the papers are from papermania.
The flowers are from wild orchid and i have sprayed
them with cosmic shimmer mica mist in pearl.

I really liked following this sketch, it isn't to complicated
like some other sketches can be.
I'm sure this will be one i go back to again and again
when I'm a bit stuck.

Oh dear the rain has arrived now, my son won't be
to pleased he has a rugby match after school.
He'll be coming home with most of the field on him,
and creating a big pile of washing for me.

Thanks for looking today
and hope to see your creations

CES Die cut Crazy

Good morning all it's time for another CES
challenge.
This week the theme is

Die Cut Crazy
yes you do what it says on the tin,
go crazy with your die cuts.

I have made an easel card, i don't make these very
often,  don't know why!
Most of my die cut are from Marriane creatables,
except the butterflies they are spellbinders.

I have used a Tilda and the sentiment is from
Hanglar Stanglar.
She's coloured with a mixture of distress inks
Victorian velvet and promarkers.

The papers are from Prima and papermania.
I used Victorian velvet to distress the flowers, butterflies
and main shape.

This is my last card as guest designer and would
like to say Thanks to Emma and her team
for inviting me to be apart of your fabulous
challenge blog.
I have really enjoyed it.

Thanks for looking and don't forget to pop over to
CES and have a go.

All Pink Girl

Hi there, hope you are all well it's Friday again
woohoo...
I had a play last night with my sweet pea images
and decided to make a card for the following challenges

Crafts and Me - Anything goes.
In a Sweet pea dream - Hellow spring.
SSS - Girlie/ Mothers day card.
Ladybug ink - Monochrome.

I'm still into my polychromos pencils, and decided to
go for an all pink girl.
The stamp is a sweet pea stamp Thousand years waiting.
The papers are all from a paper pad from forever friends.
The roses and seam binding are from Wild orchid crafts.

I've had a go at making a paper rose again i like this one better.
The sentiment is from Crafters companions fairyopolis
spring stamp set.

Beth's brace is giving her a bit of jip at the mo, she's
managing to wear it most of the day but she can't seem
to sleep with it in at the moment, bless.

Wee suzi

Hi all hope you are well, Beth had her brace fitted
bless her, this first one is twin block brace
which means she's got a mouth full of plastic.
This one she will wear for about a year,
then she will go onto a regular brace.
Thank goodness she can remove this one to
eat, or else everything would have to be liquidised.
Anyway we have to think about how beautiful her
teeth will be after.
That's what happens when you suck your thumb.

On to my Papertake weekly card

This weeks theme is

IT'S A MOM THING

we want to see your cards for
all those wonderful mums out there.

This week we are sponsored by
Digital Delights.

Browsing around the interweb last week
i saw an image on a card of a really cute girl on a bike.
After a bit of investigating i
found out it was actually a digi stamp
from Cuddly Buddly.
So there and then i bought my first ever digi stamps
and i absolutely love them.
i bought three and this is one of them
she is called wee suzi.
She printed nicely onto the card i use for copics and pencils.
I haven't yet coloured them with copics but i have used
my polychromos pencils and sansador
and i didn't have any smudging.

Another thing about them you can also resize the image
to whatever size you want. sorry you probably already
know all this but hey ho i get there in the end. lol....!

The papers are from K&co best of paper stack.
Flowers are from Wild orchid crafts.
Seam binding is from the ribbon girl.
I didn't have a stamp for Mother's day so
i made this one on my computer.
Distressed with frayed burlap distress ink.

I am also going to enter this into
they have a sketch to follow.

We will bake it

Good morning all here we are again at the start of
another week.
I have to take Beth to the dentist this afternoon
it's finally time to have her brace fitted.
I don't think she scared, i get the feeling she's more
excited about it. I've never had a brace but i bet the novelty
soon wears off.

Here's a card that i made last night , I have combined two challenges for this one.
LOTV has a sketch this week by the very talented Bev
and The Ribbon Girl challenge 6 has the theme
of Yellow and Green.

I've been dying to use this image since it arrived.
when i ordered them i thought they
reminded me a lot of the mice out of Bag Puss.
I loved that show when i was a kiddie, the mice
were my faves and i loved the little songs they used to sing.

Ahhh... sorry travelled back in time then for a mo!

Anyway i have coloured them in with my polychromos pencils , i seem to be in a pencil mood at the moment.

I have made a sentiment tag that can be removed,
the sentiment is also from LOTV.
The papers are from papermania capsule collection.
I also had a go at making paper roses out of
a flower nestie shape, i have seen
these about and thought I'd have a go, they are not
to bad but i think a bit more playing is needed.

Oh well my washing is nearly finished and the clouds have just arrived. It always does that, it was nice and sunny
when i put the washing on.

Jesse J Price Tag

Hi all it's time for another challenge over at
and this weeks theme is

Inspired by or Your favourite song

I have chosen to do my favourite song
this at the moment is
Jesse J's "Price Tag"

I love singing along with this whilst
driving in my car, i bet i get some funny
looks from other motorists passing by.
This can't be helped it's just so good.

I have stamped shopping Tilda onto a
die cut tag .
coloured her with promarkers.
The papers are Vintage Rose from Craftwork cards
they were a freebie out of a magazine.

The flowers are a mixture from Hobbycraft
and my local market.
I have punched a Martha Stewart heart out
and the sentiment is hand written on a
die cut tag.
I have put platinum stickles on her necklace.
I have also used some seam binding.
Hope you like my interpretation of the song
and i hope you all pop over to CES and have a go.

Thanks for looking and
have a great weekend.

Patchwork Pixie

Hi all, yes it's Papertake time again and it's middle of
March already, I'm sure somebody has hid the Fast Forward
button, it only seems a few weeks since Christmas.

Our theme this week is

 Trio-Tastic.

Please use 3 different things on your card ie
shapes, papers, flowers
or whatever you want

This week we are
Sponsored by The Ribbon Girl

Don't you think this little pixie is just the cutest
holding her bluebells. Well it's even better when
you find out she's a digi image and she is also a
freebie.
Yes she, along with two pages of cute images were
free in the middle of Simply cards and papercraft
that i bought a couple of weeks ago.

The Patchwork hearts were also part of the range,
which have been designed by David Parkins.

The papers are a mixture from Wild Rose studio lilac mist,
and Craftwork cards Vintage rose paper pads.
I used promarkers to colour her.
I made the crochet flowers, and used my blossom nestie
for the shapes.

The three things i have used are
Papers
Flowers
Shapes

so pop over to Papertake weekly and have a go.

It's a bit cloudy here today but i think spring is
definitely on it's way. When i took the kids to
school this morning i noticed all the daffodils
seem to be out they looked beautiful.

I couldn't wait to use them.

one of the first ones i bought and i think my favourite.
She is called Love is gone, I used promarkers and copics
to colour her in.

Men Only at CES

Good morning  it's time for another challenge over at
CES
This week the theme is

MEN ONLY

I have used one of the LOTV stamps
this is my favourite one for the boys, when
i have a mans card to make this always
seems to make an appearance.
I have used a bark effect embossing folder
which is also great for male themed cards,
I used light brown card and really darkened it with
distress inks to give it the feel of texture.

I have watercoloured the image with distress inks
and used  Marianne creatable
circle dies to cut the shapes.
When i was having a big sort out a month ago
i came across some corner stickers that i forgot
i had, which matched with the colour scheme.
Then glittered the card up with platinum stickles.

Thanks for looking today
and please pop over to CES challenge
and have a go.

Tilda in her garden

Hi there i have made this card for a few challenges this week

and i also was going to enter it into creative inspirations
but realised yesterday had missed the challenge so
I'll have to stick with the other two.

It was a very quick card i already had the image coloured
the Creative inspirations challenge theme was in the garden.
I followed the sketch at sweet stampin
and Just magnolia is anything goes just add glitter.
I think i did that I've glittered it to within an inch of
it's life he!he!
I used my new floral embossing folder .
The sentiment is Hero Arts.
Flowers and ribbon from stash.
Thanks for looking today

All things Zingy

Hi all It's Papertake day as well as pancake day
and so the theme we have this week is
yes you guessed

LEMON ZINGY

My card came about when my daughter Beth wanted to paint a watercolour picture of some flowers in a vase.
Which made me think of some flower stamps i have from
Elusive Images.
So i stamped them in a bit of an arrangement
for her and thought this would be a good idea to use
as your own backing paper.
So i randomly stamped a few images on some watercolour
paper and painted them. I then coloured a sweet pea image to go on top but it looked to fussy. So after a little play i thought it looked better with just the sentiment with a small bunch of flowers

and a ribbon on it.

I stamped the flowers with dove grey stayzon so it looked
more like hand drawn.
I painted it with water colour crayons and a brush and added some glamour dust here and there.
I really enjoyed making this card, i don't have much space,
but I'm keeping this on on my desk, i love it.

So please pop over to
Papertake Weekly and have a go
and i hope you all enjoy your pancakes tonight
i know my lot will.
Thanks

CES Guest Designer for March

Good morning all, i was asked a month or so ago by the
lovely Emma
to be a Guest Designer for the fabulous CES challenge
For the month of March.

and without even thinking about it i said yes.
So here is my first card.

The theme is
St Patrick's Day / Good luck.

As soon as i saw the challenge theme i immediately
thought about this Tilda stamp holding her lucky clover,
with it being luck and St Patrick's, well you just have
to use green and i teamed it up with yellow for a
spring look.

I have coloured her with my copics.
I cut out some shapes from my blossom nesties
and Marianne creatable dies.
I stamped the edge of my blossom shape with a
foliage stamp and scattered straw distress ink.
Then i punched a lot of little flowers out of
matching paper and green card, then stuck
them around the edge of the blossom shape
and added a yellow pearl to each one.
The sentiment stamp was a magazine freebie, ooh can't just remember which one or when but i have had it a year or even longer.
The paper is part of the Papermania capsule collection in
yellow shades.
I have also used some seam binding in green which
i got off eBay.

Hope you all have a great weekend
and pop over to CES challenge and have a go
Thanks for looking
