Anyone for Strawberries and Cream

Hi all hope you are well.

I'm afraid to say this is my last

post as a DT at the fabulous 

Papertake weekly.

I have decided to have a break.

I have fallen out of love with

cardmaking at the moment, 
I don't know why but

my MoJo is Missing In Action.

I'm sure it will be back one day

( i hope ).

Anyway lets get onto this weeks

challenge.

The theme is 

STRAWBERRIES AND CREAM.

I have used one of the stamp fairy's 

digi images. This is Lenny Fruits with strawberries.

I have coloured him with a mixture of 

Copics and Promarkers.

The sentiment is from Lili of the valley.

The papers are DCWV Nana's Nursery.

I used a Martha Stewart heart border punch.

I have finally finished my socks,
 I really had fun making 

these and even though the colour stripes don't

match perfectly i don't think they

are to bad for a first go.

 They are comfy to wear,

I think i will make the next pair

a bit longer in the leg perfect for winter.

Though I've got Hubby and now Beth
 wanting some first, i will be kept busy.

I'm forever blowing bubbles!!!!

Hi all hope you are well,

Wow another week has gone already and

the school holidays will be on us soon.

Beth had a fab time in London

she didn't want to come home.

I think she was ready for a rest though 

they had 3 really long busy days seeing

everything they could.

It's time for another Papertake weekly

challenge and this week it's

Anything Goes

with the option of highlighting something

with Glitter or Glossy accents etc.

 

I have used this fab Teddy Bea image 

blowing bubbles. I used glossy accents on the 

bubbles and sprinkled a little glitter 

before they dried to highlight them.

The image is coloured with Polychromos pencils

blended with sansodor.

I cut the image out with a spellbinders die

and then inked the edges with Milled Lavender and

Dusty concord distress inks. I think i was a little 

heavy handed with the dusty concord it's a little dark,

I didn't want to start all over again so it had to do.

Papers are from Tulip paper pack.

I've nearly finished my first sock
 

It's not been to bad to do really

they look harder than what the are.

Cant wait to try it out though I'll only have one 

warm foot till i can make the other.

I've got orders already

Hubby wants a pair next. 

Look what's starting to flower.
 
I've picked my first Sweet Peas
out of the garden

They smell gorgeous can't wait for

more to start flowering so i can fill the house 

with it's fab scent.

Sketch time

Hi all hope you're well, it's a bit of

a Boo hoo day for me, my baby (she's nearly 12)

has gone off to London on a 3 day trip with 

her school. We were up at 6 this morning as 

they where leaving at 7.30 to catch the train.

Though when i got up this morning

she was so excited she was already up

watching the TV.(Why can't this happen on

 a normal school day??????????) 

Anyway I'm sure she will have a fabulous time

they have a none stop schedule seeing all the

sights and the weather isn't to bad thank goodness.

Antique Linen and Vintage photo distress inks.

Look what I'm going to tackle next

With having loads of time to kill this morning

i ended up in a yarn shop (i don't know how that

happens, it pulls like a giant magnet). 

Next thing i saw this fabulous

yarn, i just love the colours they just jumped out at me

from the shelf and look if you bought the wool

you get a free pattern. I have never tried

making sox so this should be fun.

Hi all hope you are well, It's 

Bingo time this week at 

Papertake so eye's down and

Ribbon, Free( Pearl gems) and Blooms.

Out came my Sarah Kay stamps these are so

pretty and perfect as all the flowers are

blooming in the garden.

She is coloured with Promarkers and 

edged with Antique linen distress ink.

as is the sentiment.

We have had three baby squirrels

playing in the garden lately

Aah they are so cute 

i managed to get a good shot at

one who was climbing up the garage wall.

 It was crawling along the wall, it looked a bit like

Spiderman.

They are so good at holding on.

I walked into the conservatory and there it was

good job i actually had my camera in my

hand, because as soon as it noticed me it was off.

Hi all hope you are well and not to wet.

Fortunately here in the North West we have 

managed to escape all the horrid weather

that has been about over the last few days.

Which make a nice change for us anyway.

This week over a Papertake we have a

3 2 1 

challenge.

We want to see your cards and projects 

with 3 of one thing, 2 of another and 1 of

something else ( if that makes sense).

 I have used

3 Pearls, 2 Papers and 1 Image.

The image and papers are both from

Wild Rose studios. The papers are called 

Vintage Rose.

I have used Polychromos Pencils to 

colour the image with and blended it

with sansodor.

The sentiments are computer generated.

The paper doily is from a Marianne Creatables

die and i have used Tumbled Glass distress

ink to highlight this and round the edges 

of the image.

I have also got my latest crochet cushion to show

I had seen this granny square here and there on

blogland and loved the pattern and thought it

would make a good cushion. Doing a

bit of digging i found the pattern in the

book 200 crochet blocks by Jan Eaton.

it's called Tricolor square.

 I just made a plain granny square for the back.

I need to get a bigger cushion middle for it though.

Papertake Sketch 68

Hi all hope you are well and enjoying this

 wonderful weather. It's been great

to get outside in the garden and tend to the flowers,

 although my backs feeling

it a bit today with all the bending.

Just look at this gorgeous girl in her garden

isn't she so pretty.

I have been on a not buying any more

craft stash until i have used up some of

my extensive range, but had to break it

big time when i saw my teamie Lols card

from the Papertake challenge two weeks ago.

I just fell in love with the stamp and the

wonderful papers so that was it i had to get 

them and this stamp as well.

It's Sketch time this week and what a cracker

it is, great to follow.

It's been a while since i have used my Pencils 

i seem to have spates of using one thing then go

onto another. I love the softness the pencils give you.

And now for something completely different

Just look at these fabulous Iris's.

I have had them for years and only one or two would

flower but this year they have multiplied and i had

eight come up and all had two flowers on each stem

they look beautiful.

  

For some reason there is also a rogue

Iris that has just appeared in the clump and it's

Yellow and white. God only knows

where that has come from, but I'm not

complaining.

It's forecast rain tomorrow which i suppose

will be welcome, give everything a good drench.

I might have to get into the garden later

when it's cooled down a bit.

True Colours

Hi all on this totally gorgeous day,

it's sunny and warm so this is 

going to be a short post so i can

 get outside in the garden not sat here

at the computer.

So this turned into a birthday card for him indoors.

I made a cute shrink plastic embellishment 

out of the Magnolia watering can, i was going to

make it into a dangly charm but changed my mind

and stuck it down instead. It looks like she has been 

using it to water her flowers.

Not got a lot done in the garden today
we have had a few showers and even a bit
of hail, although I'm ready for a rest day
i did a lot of digging yesterday and dug up a
few old bushes roots and all which i must admit 
nearly killed me off. (my back is not the greatest)!
I could hardly move last night, I'm no to bad today
so i nipped up to the garden centre 
between showers and bought some
 7ft canes for my sweet peas to grow up.

Cute,Cute,Cute.

Hi all hope you are well.

This week at Papertake we are going
Cute, Cute, Cute, it's time for all your

cute images to make an appearance.

I love these kind of challenges there
are so many cute stamps or images
it's hard to choose. 
I decided to go with these cute decoupage Badgers,
they are out of those decoupage books i mentioned
a few weeks ago, aren't they adorable.
The sentiment i have used is a stamp
 from Lili of the Valley. 
I have a few anniversaries coming up in June
my own being one, gosh can you believe
it's 19 years.

The papers i have used are from Wild Rose studio.
I have used an X-cut die shape and curled the 
edges to make it look like they are in a flower.
It looks better from the side view, you can see the 
dimension more.

The flowers are Prima Hydrangeas the ones that came in
those fab tins, these are ones again bought years
ago and put on a shelf and not used much,
Not anymore.
The leaves are made with a Martha Stewart punch.

I edged the die shape with silver stickles.

Morning all hope you are well.
Happy May the first, gosh it's May
already doesn't seem five minutes since Christmas.
I'm sure the days didn't go so fast when i was young!

It's not great here today cold and 

grey. Yesterday was totally different

the sun was out it was glorious i spent the whole

day in the garden. I planted some veg i 

started off in the greenhouse and also 

tackled the weeds that i seen to be an

expert at growing.

It's not gardening weather for me 

today it's stay in and craft weather.

Ooh what a shame...he he.

Anyway it's time for another
