Crochet hook wrap

Good morning all, wow it makes a change me
being up this early in the hols.
Had to go to the Dr's for my 3 yearly woman's
check if you know what i mean.
The only appointment they had left this week was
8.15 so i had to drag myself out of bed.
Ooh that was hard, i was nice and warm and cosy.

It's a bit chilly here today it feels like
Autumn is coming, next thing the spiders will
be everywhere. Don't you just hate that when
you walk through a web.

Anyway on to my crochet project.
I have bought a few hooks over the last year and
had nothing to keep them in so i decided
to make a wrap or roll or whatever you want to call it.

Isn't the wool just fab i saw it
in my local wool shop and thought it would
make a great Teddy and it does, so i
used what was left to make this roll.
The wool is Paintbox DK by Robin if you want to know,
they had some fantastic colours. I also got one
that was in pale blues and browns although
haven't decided what to use it for yet,
I just thought it looked pretty. lol..

The material sort of goes but it was all i had,
so instead of buying more i thought i would use
up what i had already got.

I have made extra space for my new hooks
that are on the way at the moment.
I have bought a set of Bamboo hooks, and
apparently they are supposed to be really smooth
and get better the more you use them because
of the oils in your hands, so time will tell.
Just got to wait for Mr Postie to bring them.
hope that's today.

Oh well best go and get my Breakfast now.
Thanks for dropping by

Happy Birthday Jack

Hi again i'm back with this weeks

We have a fabulous sketch from our very talented
Dawny P to follow and this week
we are sponsored by
Simon Says Stamp.

A bit of a different card for me this week
It's my sons birthday end of this week
and gosh he's 14.
He loves graffiti art and he is always
doodling his name in tag form.
So i decided to add some
graffiti style letters on his card.
I looked through images on the Internet and
came across this style, printed off the
alphabet then with a light box traced it onto
super smooth card  ready to colour with my
Polychromos pencils.
I noticed a lot of the art is multicoloured
and i love Red, Orange and Yellow together
and they are suitable for a guy.

I turned the sketch upside down i thought it
would work better for me that way

The papers are from Raspberry Road.
The stamp is from a retro transport
stamp set from Kanban crafts.
The buttons were all a pale yellow so i
coloured them with permanent marker pens
to make them match, and added contrasting wool.

I think i'm safe showing it to you all before he
sees it he never looks on my page
"It's all about cards, it's boring"
is what he said the one and only time he looked.
If it's got nothing to do with XBox,
BMX, skateboarding or camper vans
he's not interested.

Thanks for looking

It's a chick thing

Good morning all hope you are well,

own choice.

When i first saw this image it reminded me
of when i was a teenager many moons ago
singing in front of the mirror to Aha.
I was so in love with Morten Harket
he was going to come to my school in
his limo and marry me.

In your dreams......lol!!

I have coloured her with Polychromos pencils
and blended with Low odor solvent.
Papers are from Raspberry Road.
Flower and leaves are from a CREAlies die.

Pretty Teddy Bea

Hi all hope you are well, gosh we are
nearly at the end of the summer hols,
kiddies go back in just over a week.
The only down side of them going back to school is
the early mornings, i've enjoyed not having to
get up and rush about like a mad man..lol.

My card today shows one of the new
digi stamps from Teddy BO and Co.
I absolutely love this image i think it's will be one
of most peoples all time favourites.
She is so pretty in her dress and hat.

I have coloured her with my new
flexmarkers and then done the shading with
Polychromos pencils and low odour solvent.
The papers are from Raspberry Road.
Flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts.
Leaves are a die i  got the other day
from CREAlies, i had never seen these before
then came across some of the flowers they do which
looked fab so i had a scout around and ended up
ordering them from Joanna Sheen's online shop,
she has free P+P.
I used a Go Create die for the image and a
Marianne creatables die for the doily.
I inked round the edge of the image with
tumbled glass distress ink.

There's also still time to enter the
Teddy Bo Challenge.
The theme is Black, White and a
colour of your choice.

Beth's been asking to make cupcakes
so we will be baking mad this afty.
we bought some fancy nozzles and
cutters to make our own sugar icing
decorations so they might appear on
here soon (before they get eaten)
if they look ok.

Black and White card

Good morning all hope you are well,
It's Black and white time over at
Teddy Bo Challenge this week you also get to add a
colour of your own choice too.

black and white so having a look through the
Raspberry Road sets saw this fabulous spotty paper.

The only colour i have used is the brown for
the faces,which is polychromos pencils
blended with sansodor.

I added glitter glue to their hats for some bling.

buttons for the centre.
The swirl i found in the bottom of my bits box, can't remember where it came from.
Leaves are from a Martha Stewart punch,
Lace and buttons from my stash.
