Vintage Teddy Bea

Hi all, there's no stopping me now I've discovered how
brill digi stamps are.
I've seen these cute bears around blog land
and last week i decided to take the plunge and buy some.
The Teddy Bo website was closed over Easter, boo hoo
but to my delight when the opened again yesterday
they were having a buy 3 get 1 free offer till friday,
so it was worth the wait.
As you can imagine I've bought a few, and made
a card to enter into the Teddy Bo challenge.

I've had a go at a Vintage/Shabby chic style.
The paper is actually a freebie from
Bearly Mine Designs they do some gorgeous
vintage papers i might have to get them next.
I have used the same papers to make the flower
out of punched shapes.
Distressed the edges with Pumice Stone distress ink.
Coloured the image with polychromos pencils.
Marianne Creatables swirls and the tag is from
a Go Create die.
Seam binding from Ribbon girl
Lace/ gems/ brad from stash.

I'm also going to enter it into
Simon says stamp - Anything goes
Crafts and Me - Vintage/Distress.

Thanks for stopping by today
Take care

week, hardly seems worth it, then there is another
long weekend Hurray!!

My card today is for Papertake Weekly
this week there is a sketch to follow,
which is sponsored by
Simon says stamp.

I have used one of the new digi stamps from wee stamps
available from Cuddly Buddly.
She is called Spring Bringer, she is so lovely.
I have used Polychromos pencils to colour her.
The papers are papermania and a freebie from
Bearly mine Designs.
Computer sentiment.

Flowers are from Prima and Wild orchid crafts.
Nestie and Marianne creatables dies.
Martha Stewart leaf punch.
Ribbon from stash.

Where's the sun gone it's been gorgeous here
and I've been in my garden. why is it
that the weeds always grow better than your
flowers? It just seems never ending.

yesterday and all my bluebells are coming out,

they look lovely.

Spring is here

Hi all hope you are having a great Easter.
Managed to get a bit of crafting in yesterday,
to make a card for some challenges.

I took these picture's in the sunshine it's not
to bad, there is a bit of shadow but it's
shown the colours up well.

It's been a lovely day here today,
hubby made us all get up early
and dragged us to a couple of car boots.
Didn't get any bargains, but i did get some homemade
Damson jam, yum mm i love it on cream crackers.

I have used an oldish Tilda i think she
came out spring last year but i must say she is
one of my all time favourites ( one of many).
I have stamped her onto water colour paper and
coloured her with Distress inks.
Spun sugar, tumbled glass,Forrest moss,
vintage photo and tattered rose.
The papers are Basic Grey Phoebe.
Sentiment computer generated.
flowers wild orchid and my local market.
Martha Stewart punch, Nestie blossom shape and
a Marianne Creatables swirl die.

Spots and Stripes

Hi all, call off the search party I'm
back. Been MIA for a few days, we've been  away
to a VW rally over the weekend.
What a brill time, we saw some lovely vans.
good weather, beer flowing, good time was had by
all.

When we got home on Sunday my stamps had arrived that
i ordered from the new Hanglar web site, i missed
out on the Attitude set when they where on eBay.
So i ordered them from the new site and they have only taken a few days to arrive.
so I'll bee playing with them next.

Anyway on to this weeks challenge at
Papertake Weekly

The theme this week is

SPOTS AND STRIPES

sponsored by the Ribbon Girl.
You can use either or both it's up to you.

Gone for another Easter card, using Tilda painting an egg.
I have sat her on a cluster of stamped eggs,
coloured with Polychromos Pencils and blended
with Sansodor and paper stumps.
The papers are from K&Co best of paper stack.
The butterflies are from card craft UK
Oliver's orchard stamp set.
Used nestie shapes and holographic paper.
Martha Stewart punches and
flowers from Magnolia and stash.

I also had a go at making one of the little
boxes from the latest Magnolia Ink mag,
there is a template inside.
I think the best way to make one of these
is not to do what i did and
print it on plain card then back it with paper.
Print it onto pattered card,
it would be a lot less fiddly.
I have filled it up with my favourite mini
eggs and i have been very good and not had
any, i gave choccies up for lent and have only
one more week to go yippee!!
I did hope that i might loose a few pounds not
eating chocolate but that hasn't happened (boo hoo)!!
so chocolate must be good for me....
hurray!!

I don't seem to craft as much with the kiddies on
school hols, so i don't know if i will be back again
before Easter if not hope you all have a good
time, and the Easter bunny brings you all an egg
(Chocolate of course)
and have a nice long weekend break, the
weathers supposed to be good at the moment
fingers crossed.

Don't forget to pop over to papertake and have a go

Truly Dimensional at Papertake Weekly

Good morning it's Papertake time again
and this weeks challenge is

Truly Dimensional

Sponsored this week by WOJ.

I have really gone to town with this challenge,
i had just got my scor-pal for mother's day
and couldn't wait to use it.
so i decided to make a tri easel card.

The images are Patchwork Pixes that came free with
Simply cards and Papercraft mag issue 82.
They are coloured with Polychromos pencils and blended with sansodor, I have also decoupaged them.
I have used the heart and mushroom
from the set as stoppers,
and mirror imaged one of the mushrooms
on my computer for the other side.

The papers are from Doodlebug.
Have used Nestie circles
and the lace is from my stash.
I really enjoyed making this although it took
three days in all, it was the
colouring that took the time.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you
all have a go at this weeks

Toby Tumble Happy Easter

Good morning all i knew this weather wouldn't
last, it's chucking it down here.
I did manage to get into the garden yesterday.
I sorted my Strawberry patch out and tided up
half the veggie patch. Cleaned my greenhouse
and managed to plant some seeds.
i was going to carry on today but the rain is
here so I'll have to craft instead ha.. ha..

I made this card last night after watching the
Full Monty,i love that film,
the best bits when they are
in the queue for the dole jigging to the music.

I am going to enter this into a few challenges
Creative inspirations - Punches and Dies.
SSS- Spring / Easter.
CLP - Sketch.

The digi stamp is Toby Tumble from Cuddly Buddly
I have used Polychromos pencils to colour and
blended with Sansodor.
Papers are some that i picked up at craft central the other
day, they are from Forever Friends Spring time paper pack.
This one i have used is so cute it's got little
ducks and chicks on, although i cover most of it up.
I have used a Martha Stewart punch for the lace edge's.
It's a deep  edge one that i cut down the middle, i also
used the leaf punch.
I have used a Go Creates die for the image
and wood ware's daisy and flower
punches for the flowers.
The sentiment is from a Daisy and Dandelion
Easter stamp set.

Get me this is one of the second lot
of digi images I've bought, i think you can safely say
that i love them now, and you don't have to wait for the postie.. bonus.

Apple picking

Hi all what a beautiful day, the sun is out, the kiddies have just finished for Easter and i won £50 in the school raffle
(which i intend spending on crafty goodies... of course).
so all in all it's been a good day.

My card for today i have made for a couple of
challenges

CES - Children
The Sugar bowl - Sketch,Purple and Green

I've been dying to ink up these Sugar Nellie stamps
for ages i have quite a few and they seem to get a bit
neglected. so i made a point of inking some up
on watercolour paper and having a play.

I can't just remember this stamps name
you used to be able to get them from funky Kits.
I have coloured her with distress inks.
The sentiment is from LOTV.
The papers are from Prima's Botanical paper stack.
I have made a shabby chic flower out of paper from
papermania's Henbury lane paper pack.
The other flowers are from wild orchid and the
chandelier strands i picked up from
a warehouse selling wedding bits.

Hope you all have a fab weekend in the glorious
sun thanks for stopping by

So Sweet tilda

Hi all i think i have got a
blue tit starting to nest in the garden.
We put a bird box up a couple of summers ago and
we haven't had so much as a peep.
We had talked about maybe moving it somewhere
else, but this last week there has been
a blue tit coming and going and pecking at the
wood around the hole.
I did see it struggle with a really long piece of
straw/ grass trying to get it into the box, it
managed it in the end.
so fingers crossed.

My card today is for two challenges
Just Magnolia/Hanglar - Anything goes /buttons
Totally Tilda - theme Sweet treat.

I have used Tilda with lollipop and  the strawberry.
They have been coloured in with
polychromos pencils and sansador.
The papers are DCWV Nana's nursery.
The sentiment is from inkadinkado and
i have used a Marianne creatables and a
go create die for the shapes.
The buttons are handmade, coloured with distress ink
and glazed. The ladybird button i found in my button box.
The thread is crochet cotton.

Thanks for looking and thanks for
all your lovely comments.

Hoppy Easter

Good morning all, it's wet and windy here today
so when I've finished my work I'm going to have a
crafty afternoon.

It's Papertake Weekly time again
and it's an
ANYTHING GOES
week.

The optional extra is to use something new or a new
technique or card shape.

This week we are sponsored by Lili of the Valley.

I have used my new LOTV stamp,
i Know it's not a new image it's been out a while,
but i have only just bought it so it's new to me.

This is a really cute image for spring / Easter cards,
i have used Polychromos pencils and sansador to colour
it in.

I found the papers in my oddments draw, i think
these papers came free with a magazine once.
They are lovely and spring looking.

The sentiment is from daisy and dandelion Easter set.
The butterflies are from Oliver's orchard stamp set,
and they are also coloured with polychromos pencils.

Daisy's are made from a woodware punch and card candy,
i used a copic to colour over a light card candy so that
it would match better.
I have used a nesti blossom flower shape.
Lace, ribbon and brads from stash.

I am also going to enter this card into this weeks
LOTV challenge they have the theme
SPRING.

Hope you all pop over to Papertake
and have a play this week.
Thanks for looking

Rain or Shine

Good morning hope all you hard working Mums
got treated yesterday.
My precious little ones ( although Jack is taller than
me now) gave me some lovely cards and
yippee i have finally got a scor-pal.
It's been on my wish list for ages and
Hubie asked a few weeks ago
if there was anything i wanted, so i
mentioned it and hey presto.
I did um and aah about which one to get.
Metric or inches, I'm a bit old school and tend to
measure in inches, but the metric board did
have more grooves on it and some fine grooves at the end
so i went metric...welcome to the 21st century.lol.

It's fab though and i have ordered the cutting mat
that fits inside, then i can have it on the desk all the time.

Onto my card for today, I've made this for
Crafters Companion . They have a colour theme of
Aqua and Brown for this months challenge.

I have had a little play over the weekend making
flowers. This one is like the others I've made before
the tutorial was in a Magnolia Ink mag. I've just
gone bigger with this.
I have used a go create flower die and
some smaller punched flowers for this one.
Basically you brad them all together,
wet them, scrunch it,
then unfold gently and
when you are happy with the shape
let it dry.

The stamp is from the SWALK range at crafters companion.
I have coloured her with polychromos pencils
and blended with sansador and paperstumps.
I have added star dust stickles.
The paper is from MME asparagus paper pack.
Martha Stewart doily punch.
Seam binding, card candy and metal corner from stash.
