Teddy Bea meets Sugar Nellie

Hi all hope you are well, I've woken up this morn
full of a cold and a sore throat, Blurr.
I was ok last night, my throat felt a bit dry but i
felt fine, i can't believe how quick it hit.
I don't know about you but i always seem to
get something yucky when the kids are on
school hols, i suppose that's better,i don't have
to drag myself out of bed to early.

Got Two cards for you today so bear with me.

Ha Ha I've just realised Bear with me! (Teddy Bea)

The first is for Papertake Weekly
sponsored this week by
Simon says stamp

This week there is a sketch to follow from
the fabulous Dawny

I've rotated it 90 degrees it seem to fit better.
I've used another Teddy Bo image coloured
with Polychromos pencils.
I have used some free papers i got with issue 84
of Simply cards and papercraft mag.
They are called Picnic in the park from Serif.
I only buy the mags when they have a good free gift.
The sentiment is a woodware stamp on a
Nellie die. The image is on one of the new
wonky rectangle nestie's.
Flower is made with a Marianne creatables die.
I have used Antique linen distress ink on the edges.
The leaves are cut with my slice machine.

My second card is for two challenges

Basic Grey - Shabby Chic

I've had a root through my sugar nellie stamps
again and settled on this cutie from Elisabeth Bell.
I also dug out these Basic Grey Too Scoops papers
that i have had in my stroking pile, i'm
determined to use them all up.
I love the ice cream colours of these papers.
I have used Promarkers to colour her in.
Tulip yellow, Buttercup, primrose,
Pastel green, soft green, apple,
pale pink, cocktail pink,
blush, ivory, sun kissed pink and
caramel.
The Shabby chic flower is made with a
Marianne creatables flower die,
i have sanded it to give it a distressed look.
The swirls are also Marianne creatables.
I have used a Martha Stewart corner punch
to make photo corners for my image to sit in.
The sentiment is computer generated.
Ribbon is seam binding from the ribbon girl.

Phew are you still with me, good cause
that's all folks.
You can go and have a brew now,
i am my throats starting to hurt again
the para's must be wearing off.

Tilda's Back

Hi all hope you are all well and enjoying
the long weekend, Surprise surprise it bank holiday Monday
and guess what it's raining, well it is here in Lancashire.

Guess who back yes it's Tilda, it seems a while since i inked one up. Well i had to really, i was at my local craft shop on Saturday and i was having a root through their Tilda
collection when i came across this cutie.
Don't know how i missed her first time round
anyway better late than never. lol.

Look at these delish papers as well, i got these from
Ebay they are First edition papers from the new
Summer Breeze pad, they are a lovely mix of
brown, aqua and pink colours and are so yummy.
Dug out my promarkers to colour her with, I've been polychromos mad at the moment and my markers
were starting to feel a bit neglected.
Though i used polychromos pencils to shade with.
The promarkers i used were

Tea Green
Grey green
pear green
blossom
Pastel blue
sun kissed pink
blush
ivory
caramel
umber
blender.

The sentiment is from Hanglar.
Flowers from wild orchid crafts.
Butterfly Martha Stewart punch.
Marianne creatables swirl die.
Spellbinders nestie shape.
peel off corners, pearls and pins from stash.

I'm entering this into a few challenges
Just Magnolia - Friends
Passion for Promarkers - All the 2's, you have to use 2 of everything.

Got some better pictures yesterday of the
baby blue tit from our nest box.
It was sat in the Apple tree again waiting
to be fed.  I managed to sneak outside and get
close ish without disturbing them.
aah isn't it cute, all fluffed up.
The others were in the tree as well but they were
well hidden this one sat in a little opening,
having a snooze. bless.

Tatty Teddy and Tits

Hi all, hope you are well the suns out here today
hurray not see it for a while, it's still windy though
can't have it all lol.

Kids break up for their half term today, it only seems like they have been back at school for five minutes since the last hols, not complaining though
i don't need to get up so early.

My card today is made for a few challenges
Bearly Mine - Die cuts and Lace
Addicted to stamps - Pink and Brown
Crafts and Me - Gems and pearls

The papers are from the fabulous
summer lace range at Bearly mine.
I have used another of those fabby Tatty Teddy
stamps from do crafts, stamped in rich cocoa ink
and coloured with polychromos pencils.
I have stamped the edge with the
feather stamp form clarity, in Vintage photo
distress ink.
The sentiment is from LOTV also stamped in Vintage photo.
The lace i bought a few years ago from John Lewis
it's been in my cupboard never been used, stroked a
few times, then put back away.
Anyway i have decided to start using everything,
my pile of stroking stash is getting bigger and basically
i need the space, there's always more to buy.
Pearls and gems from stash.
Oval nestability, tag Go create.

I don't know if you remember that i
mentioned that there were some Blue Tits
showing a bit of interest in my bird box, well
the did nest and on Wednesday they fledged.
I've been trying to take a picture which is
pretty hard as they stay well hidden but i saw
one in the apple tree this morn, so with my long lens
i managed to get a shot

It's a bit blurry i had to take the picture from
inside the conservatory so i had window glare, then
it was sat in the middle of the tree so struggled
to get a good focus, but anyway this is the best piccy.

This is mum or dad (can't tell the difference), grabbing
food off the feeder to feed it.
I didn't see them leave the nest i think i happened upon
them just after they left, they were sat in the Elderflower tree next to the nest, tweeting away Feed me Feed me.

Hope you enjoyed that

Take it easy

Hi all hope you are well, my card today is
i know, i know yet another Teddy Bo image,
i just seem to be addicted to these at the moment,
can't stop colouring them in.
I have just ordered some more this morning as well,
so there is no hope for me. lol.
I will force myself to colour something else soon,
i promise.

I have made this card for the Teddy Bo challenge
they want to see Teddy Bo images only.

I had planned to use this image to make a
fathers day card so what better excuse to
get on and make it

I do seem to struggle a bit when it comes to
making male cards, what embellies do you put on?
can't really put girly flowers on.
I found this button stamp in my stash but it still needed
something else.
I made paper flowers with the new marianne creatables
die, i used matching paper so they look more masculine,
(if there's such a thing as masculine flowers).

I coloured the image with Polychromos pencils and
the papers are from papermania i think,
i have had them a while.

Right I'm off to my inbox to get the new images

Pale, Pretty pastels at papertake

Hi all, phew that title's a bit of a tongue twister,
Try saying that a few times..Lol.

Well have you been blown to death, i hate it
when we have winds when my plants are
looking good coming into flower.
I had to brave it yesterday and try
and stake my Lupins and Foxgloves up.
Managed to get it done between the rain.

My card is yet again another Teddy Bo digi stamp,
I'm so in love with these at the moment they
are great to colour.

Yes you guessed it we want to see you use all
those pretty pastel shades.
We are sponsored by the fabulous
Digital Delights
the winner will win 3 digi stamps.

The Teddy Bo image is coloured with polychromos
pencils, i have inked around the edge with
antique linen distress ink and stamped the edge
with the clarity stamp feather.
The papers are Prima sparkling spring,
i have been having a play with my sewing machine
again, i was well chuffed i managed to get
my stitches to cross the paper join and keep it
fairly straight.lol.
The flowers are from Wild orchid and my local market.
The sentiment is computer generated and cut
with a tag die.
Seam Binding from the ribbon girl.
Punch shapes from Martha Stewart punches.

The cupcakes i made the other day have all
gone, i have had orders from my kids
to make some more. So i have made another
batch this morning, they should be cold enough
now for the frosting, so i'm off to do that and then make
a brew and i guess i'll have to have one, well
the chef always has to try ..lol.

Thanks for stopping by today
hope to see you over at Papertake

Surprise

Good morning all hope you are well,
Thought i would show all you lovely ladies out there
what i made yesterday.

When i was out doing the food shop this week
i was having a browse down the book isle
when my eye caught sight of a pretty
pink book.
So on picking it up to my delight discovered it
was a cookery book.
Even better was the fact that it was a
cake cookery book.

So of course it made it's way into my trolley.
Having the kitchen to myself yesterday i had a
play, started simply with the vanilla cupcakes
and change the frosting to a chocolate one.

I did make 12 but as soon as the kids got home from
school, well you can imagine.

I thought i would give one to my Mum so
Beth and i made this box to put it in.
We used another one of those cute
Tatty Teddy bears with cupcakes.
Beth coloured the image in with Polychromos pencils
and blended with sansodor.
I made the box using my scor-pal,
put a false bottom in and cut a hole
with a nesti circle for the cake to stand in.
Edged with Spun sugar distress ink.
made the Flowers out of punches and the rose out of
a Marianne creatables die.
I also used a Martha Stewart
heart scroll deep edge punch.
The sentiment is computer generated and cut
out with a Go Create tag die.

Hope I've not made you dribble on your
keyboard, yumm! they do taste good though.

Blooming Marvelous at Papertake

Hi all hurray it's stopped raining
it did not stop at all yesterday,
though it's still dark and dreary today,
where's that sun gone come back all is forgiven.
I've got loads to do in the garden planting veg.
I know there are some die hard gardeners out there
who garden in whatever the weather, but
I'm not one. I'm what you call a fair weather
gardener.

Which leads me nicely onto the Papertake weekly
challenge. This week we have the theme

BLOOM AND GROW

This week we are sponsored by the
fantastic Ribbon Girl who have these
wonderful Molly Bloom stamps in stock.

I have used one of the Molly Blooms stamps
this one is called Molly in the Garden.
I have coloured her with Polychromos pencils and
sansodor, i have added some star dust stickles
to her watering can to replicate water.
The poppy stamps are from Elusive images
which are also coloured with pencils
and cut out which took me blooming ages to do..lol.
The papers are from Pink Petticoat vintage rose
paper pad which was a freebie with a craft mag.
Sentiments are from LOTV and Hero Arts.
I used a nesti flower shape to make an aperture
and stickled round the edge.
The tiny flowers are made with a woodware punch out
of matching scraps of paper and i added some gems.

I'm going to enter this card into
they want to see the inside of your card decorated.

Tatty Teddy

Hi all hope you are all well.
This is probably the first of many Tatty Teddy
cards. My daughter is absolutely crazy
about this cute little bear and his blue
nose friends, and has quite a few,
she keeps asking her dad to make a shelf for them all.
So when we where in our local
craft shop last week and saw the new range
that has just been released, well that was it.
We bought 5 of the stamps, then she spent the next few days stamping and colouring the images in.
(Kept her quiet anyway)..lol.

I must say they are really cute so i decided to use
one on my card for the Bearly Mine challenge.
Their theme is Vintage Easel.
So i have used a vintage ted.

The papers i have used are Bearly mine, a mixture
of some freebies, Vintage and summer lace.
I made a patchwork design on the computer and
printed it out.

The flower is made form the flower you get with the
new doily dies from Marianne Creatables.
The dies look a bit pansy shape to me, but when
i layered them up it look more like a Water Lilly.
Used spun sugar distress ink on the flower and then added some stickles and card candy for the centres.

The tad sentiment is also a Marianne creatables die and
i wrote my own sentiment,
trying to keep it in the Tatty Teddy style.
I have used a Martha Stewart deep edge punch and a
bit of lace.
I have discovered my slice again, it's been sat on my shelf
for a year (or more) gathering dust. I got the tickled pink
version they did and whilst having a play
with the tickled pink cartridge i found these leaves.
Who new (slap hands).
The great thing is you can make them small or go large.
It's up to you.

Thanks for looking today,

Fancy a Punch

Hi all hope you are all well. This week at
Papertake weekly our theme is
FANCY A PUNCH
we want to see lots of punched shapes on your projects.
The prize this week is a super
£10 voucher
from
Dies to die for
so it's well worth a go.

I've finally got round to inking up one of my
new Hanglar sailor stamps, i bought these from the new web site a while ago but you know how it is?
I made myself ink it up, and decided to use
papers from one of the new Prima pads
Madeline.
Used Poychromos pencils and sansodor to colour
her in.
I went round the edges with tumbled glass distress ink.

Over at Just Magnolia and Hanglar this week they have
an anything goes week with stitching.
So out came the sewing machine.
I had a play with the different stitches,
and i was quite pleased i managed to keep
the stitches fairly straight (for once)
apart from the bit in the bottom corner of my
image but thank goodness for flowers,
they can cover up any little wobbles... Lol.

I have used Martha Stewart and Ek success punches
Scallop scissors and the flowers are from
Wild Orchid crafts.

I have Followed the sketch over at
Crafting Life's Pieces
