Get Krafty

Hi all hope your well.
I don't know where time is going, half term
flew by in the blink of an eye, my son
had a fantastic time in Paris with school.
He even enjoyed looking round the Louvre
which is so not him.
Wonders never cease.

It's time to get krafty over at
So lets get that kraft card out and
have a play.

We are sponsored this week by the fabulous
Ribbon Girls who have
a £10 voucher up for grabs.

I thought i would finally have a go at
colouring onto Kraft card.
I have seen lots of beautiful cards where
this technique has been used, let
me tell you it's harder than what you think.
I struggled a bit with my shading and had to
pile the colour on quite a few times.
I was quite pleased with the end result, though
more practise is needed.

The Kraft card is from Papermania.
I used my Polychromos Pencils and
sansodor blended with paper stumps.

The papers are from doodlebug (i think)
I found them shoved in with another paper
pack, i remember buying them as loose sheets.

Hold that
Yes they are Doodlebug i just had a look and
it's printed on the back Durrr!

The flowers are Prima.
Sentiment is from Tim Holtz.
Punched leaves Martha Stewart.
Marianne Creatables die shape.
Ribbon and Lace from stash.

Well that's all folks so please pop over and
have a look at the challenge and see the other
DT's cards they are fab.

Thanks for stopping by
Take care

Love U

Hi all hope all's well with you.
It's Papertake time again and this
week we have a colour theme.

Black, White and Red all over.
(with the exception of hair and skin).
This weeks sponsor is
Whiff of Joy.

I have made another valentine card,
i give one to Beth every year so this is
for her.

I have used this fabulous Teddy Bea image
i had actually printed it out a while ago with
all the extra balloons to use this idea,
and have been waiting for the right time
to use it.
I have used promarkers to colour her in.
The sentiment is stamped with
 Tatty Teddy alphabet stamp set.
I have used a Marianne creatables die.
Ribbon and Gems from stash.

Please go and check out the wonderful
work from my fellow Dt's and
i hope to see all your fabulous card over at

I am also going to enter my card into this times
Teddy Bo and co challenge which is

Love is in the air.

Here is just a quick pic to show
how the daffs are doing.
As you can see they have
started to open, they are beautiful,
they make me smile every time i go into
the kitchen.
Lets hope they are the promise of
 warmer weather to come.

Thanks for stopping by today
Take care

Cosy Ta dah

Ta Dah
Hi all hope you're well.
It's last day of school for my little ones
then we can have a week off.
It should be a nice peaceful one as
my eldest is off to Paris with school
(alright for some).
So there will be no sibling rivalry.

Here we are then i've finished the cosy.
Actually it wasn't to bad to do really,
quite easy, i love the pleat effect.

Flitting around blog land a lot of people
seem to be using wooden needles these days
so i thought i would have a go.

Searching on eBay i came across some
Cath Kidston goodies

 And wooden knitting needles.

The best thing is they're all
unwanted Christmas gifts so are
brand new and half the RRP.
I've got a nice little set happening here.

I must say they are really good to knit with
smooth and unlike my metal ones warm in your hand.
I would recommend them.

Oh well it's back to blanket squares again
I will finish, I will finish.
Just keep saying that to myself.

Take care

With Love

Hi there hope you are well.
It's getting to that time of the year
when Love is in the air.
and it's no different over at

This week we have an
Anything goes week
with the optional extra of using a heart
or do a love theme.

we are sponsored by the girls
over at Lili of the Valley

I have gone
super size with this card
it's my first 8x8 card
and gosh it was hard to fill up.
I decided to go large because the image
was way to big for my usual 6x6.
I had to find extra bit's then to fill the space.
The image is SWALK stamp from
Crafters companions, and coloured with promarkers.
The sentiments are from an old
stamp set i have from Elusive images.
The flourishes are from a Tim Holtz die.
Papers are from Joanna Sheens romance CD ROM.
The heart button i made out of a heart
cut out of cardboard and coloured with
distress inks. Punched holes and then
triple embossed with clear embossing powder.
I made a few of these in one go in all sorts of colours.

I think i will give it to my other half for
valentines day.

please check out Papertake and see all the fabulous
work the other DT's have made.

I have had a pause at the moment with
the granny squares
when you have to make 400 +
they can get a bit samey.
So i'm having a bit of a break.
Looking through the latest copy of
simply knitting i came across a
fab pattern for a tea cosy and
in my favourite colours to,
so i just had to make it.

Here's a sneaky peak of were i'm up to.
This was yesterday afternoon the
sun came out so i sat in the
conservatory it was bliss.

I'll be back when it's finished to show you
until then
Take care

More daff pots

Hi all hope you are well and not
to cold.
Well as usual it has snowed everywhere
in the country except on us in the
North west, all we had was rain.
Which then froze, it was pretty yuck really.
I have seen some of the snow pic's
people have posted in blog land and
they look wonderful.
oh well we can dream.

The reason for today's post is to
show you what happens
when you find something addictive.
You might remember my post from last week
Well

They multiply

Wow i have just noticed looking at
the picture from last week and
then this one today how much the
daffs have grown.

Yes i did buy some more when i went food shopping.
The daffs were a good bargain, i got them
from Morrisons they had them on at 50pa pot,
half price so i couldn't resist.

Then once i got home i had to make the pot covers,
luckily they are quick to make as i couldn't
wait and

If you are wondering
no
i'm not sick of pineapples yet.

Take care
