A Sprinkling of fairy dust

Hi all feeling much better today still got a cold but I'm nearly at the end of it.
Thank goodness.

My card today is the one i made for Sweet Pea Stampers
I'm a guest designer this week and the theme is
A Sprinkling of Fairy Dust.
What a good excuse to get the glitter out.

The stamp is of course a sweet pea stamp Full moon
coloured with promarkers and glittered on her wings and the mushrooms.
The butterfly is from another sweet pea stamp flowing blue.
The sentiment is hero arts.
I have used a nellies die cut shape and put spots of Crystal glitter around it.
The paper is from papermania's Henbury Lane
it's embossed and slightly glittered.
The lace and ribbon i picked up at a car boot.
The flowers are bo bunny and prima and as you can see glittered.

I went mad with glitter while making this card,
i went to school to pick the kids up not realising i was covered in it.

Hope you all have a good bank holiday

thanks for looking in today

Here comes the summer

Hi there today's card is for the lili of the valley challenge with the theme
Here comes summer, although if you look out of the window
here this morning it looks far from summer cloudy and drizzly.

I enjoyed making this card, i had to do a bit of masking and lots of
colouring. I have quite a few Sarah Kay stamps which i have neglected
since Christmas (Shame on me). So when i saw the summer theme i remembered
this little girl with her picnic basket what can be more summer.

I have used a Sarah Kay stamp called 'Picnics of Daisies' and a wood mounted
stamp 'won't you come into my garden' by inkadinkado.
I have used my copic ciao marker pens to colour the image,
the DP is Papermania Regency paper pad.
The paper flower was made using Blossom nesti dies and an old book page.
i have edged the image, flower and sentiment with
vintage photo distress ink,
and used my Martha Stewart daisy fan punch.

3 Challenges 1 card

Hi there today's card i have decided to enter into 3 challenges.
Friday Sketchers , Penny Black Saturday , and Sir Stampalot Challenge.
I seemed to struggle with this card,
i spent all last night messing with it
nothing seemed to look right so i left it and went to bed.
This morning i was all for throwing it in the bin
but thinking about the hours i spent last night i didn't want to feel
like it was wasted so i added the purple card in the middle which made it look a bit better.
I think because the image is busy and with the flowery paper
it was to much so the purple card tones it down.

Anyway i have used the sketch over a Friday sketchers,
the penny black challenge was to use your punches
which i have with the flowers and the half circles,
and the Sir Stampalot theme was Blossom and Butterflies.

Image and sentiment are Tiny Wishes stamp set from penny black.
Butterfly stamp is Anita's
I have used copic markers pens and Glitter pens.
The DP is Gwenyth petite from paper adventures
woodware daisy punch and Martha Stewart deep edge daisy fan
ribbon and stick on gems.

Hope you have a good bank holiday

Just Magnolia Challenge 53

Hi there today's card is for Just Magnolia using a sketch by Bev.
I have used one of my new Tildas Maid Marrion she is just gorgeous,
and a dream to colour with yes you guessed it my promarkers.
I have added a touch of green glitter pen to her headband.

My local craft shop had quite a few Martha Stewart punches in,
and I've ummed and arred for a while over the deep edge daisy fan punch,
ever since i saw it used to make a large flower paper ribbon.

and there it was sat on the shelf
and i don't know what happened next it seemed to jump
into my hand and i was at the till paying for it. You know
how it is I've just got to have it!
I used a strip of paper about 2.5 inch for the one above
not bad for a first attempt.

The DP is Caramel Toffee Vintage Flowers EK Success.
The text paper is from an old gardening book i picked up at my local car boot,
the pages have turned a nice cream colour with age and i just went
around the edge with vintage photo distress ink.
Flowers are Prima and i have used my trusty MS Branch punch.
Ribbon from my local market.

I would like to thank the team over at the Sir Stampalot challenge
for picking my card as one of the top 3 in Aprils challenge,
i was delighted to see my card in your list
it's made my day yahoo!!!

I'm off to light the BBQ for tea,
