Anniversary Cards

Hi all i popped on today to show you
a couple of anniversary cards i have made recently.

This first one is for my Mum and Dad.
Mum loves Orchids and this digi stamp was perfect.
I've coloured it with Spectrum Noir pencils and blended with
Sansador and paper stumps.
the sentiment is from woodware and I've stamped it so it looks
all joined up.

I've also been having a play with the art of
ZENTANGLE.

It's so so so addictive.

I made a little panel for the edge of the card.
I've also got another card to show soon were I've gone
zentangle mad.
 The second is for hubby.

this is also coloured with the Spectrum noir pencils.
and I've frantaged round the edge.
The papers are DCWV Nana's Nursery.
La La Land Bunting Die and hand wrote LOVE.
Lace from Dunelm Mill.

Thanks for stopping by, I'm off outside now,
the sun is shining so i'm making the most
of it while its here.

Holidays are here

Hi all hope you are well,
Hooray! holidays are here the kiddies
broke up from school on Friday for 6
weeks. It was more emotional
for Beth as she was leaving junior school for good.
She's really excited about going to
big school she can't wait. I don't think
that feeling will last that long once she gets there.

As you know i had decided to take a break
from cardmaking for a little while, so
what happens, i get a commission to do.
It's for the granddaughter of a lady
i have made a few cards for, I think i made a birthday
card for her and she loved it so much she
asked if i could make one for her
teacher to say thank you.
Then Beth saw it and loved it, she asked if i could
make one the same for her teacher
so i ended up making two.
Never mind.

Out shopping the other day in a lovely little shop
that sells material i came across this fab
remnant so i decided to use it to reline my
wool basket. It needed jazzing up as the
lining was just a plain cream and boring.

It was the colours that instantly
drew me to it. I didn't have enough to go
right to the bottom it's about an inch off,
i have attached it to the liner that was there
already and when it's full of wool you
would never know.

Talking of wool here's what I'm on with at
the moment.

It's the beginnings of a granny square
blanket. Looking through blogland
as you do i came across a fabulous
blog page called
When i saw Julies blanket i
fell in love with it, what fab colours.
So i had a good look through my stash
and found some similar colours, all i had
to do was visit my local wool shop and
get some Grey for the main colour.
I settle on a slate grey from Debbie bliss.

Lastly as it was sunny this morning
we decided to make the most of it and go
car booting. I didn't find many bargains today
just this lovely lace doily.
I have been after one for my table so i can
put my flower jam jar on.
I think it makes the flowers look so nice.

My hydrangea bush in the garden is
straining under the weight of the
flower heads especially with all the rain
so i have picked some.
I haven't bothered before but how
pretty are they in a jar and they last a while too.
I have added some sprigs of apple mint
 for greenery and smell.
Ooh I don't need to buy any flowers anymore, i think
garden flowers look so pretty and they are free.

Take care

I'm forever blowing bubbles!!!!

Hi all hope you are well,
Wow another week has gone already and
the school holidays will be on us soon.
Beth had a fab time in London
she didn't want to come home.
I think she was ready for a rest though
they had 3 really long busy days seeing
everything they could.

It's time for another Papertake weekly
challenge and this week it's

Anything Goes
with the option of highlighting something
with Glitter or Glossy accents etc.

I have used this fab Teddy Bea image
blowing bubbles. I used glossy accents on the
bubbles and sprinkled a little glitter
before they dried to highlight them.
The image is coloured with Polychromos pencils
blended with sansodor.
I cut the image out with a spellbinders die
and then inked the edges with Milled Lavender and
Dusty concord distress inks. I think i was a little
heavy handed with the dusty concord it's a little dark,
I didn't want to start all over again so it had to do.
Papers are from Tulip paper pack.
Flowers Wild orchid crafts.
Ribbon from the Ribbon Girls.

I've nearly finished my first sock

It's not been to bad to do really
they look harder than what the are.
Cant wait to try it out though I'll only have one
warm foot till i can make the other.
I've got orders already
Hubby wants a pair next.

Look what's starting to flower.

I've picked my first Sweet Peas
out of the garden

They smell gorgeous can't wait for
more to start flowering so i can fill the house
with it's fab scent.

 Thanks for dropping by today
take care

Birthday Boy

Hi all hope you are all well,
We are all at sixes and sevens here
at the moment.
We are fitting new windows so everything
is a mess.
Fortunately my crafty corner is in the
conservatory which is fine, so
i can escape there for a bit.

It's Papertake weekly time again
and this week we have one of
Dawny's fabulous sketches to follow
which is sponsored this week by
Simon says stamp

So go and check it out

It's my Nephews birthday coming up soon
so i decided to combine the two,
i made him a card using the sketch.

I've used one of the fab images
from Teddy Bo and co.
Isn't he Jolly.
I have coloured him in with promarkers.
I have noticed lately a lot of Kraft card
appearing on cards, and i have
finally got some although it came
in the form of card blanks.  I bought
some in 6x6 so i could cut some of it up.
This time i have used it as a blank, doing that
though meant i had to decorate the inside
which i never do, so this was new to me.

As you can see i kept it simple, i noticed
on other blogs when they decorate the inside
they put a faint image of the main image in the
bottom corner, with this being digital
i just printed it off in draft and a bit smaller
which worked a treat.

The papers are from K&Co berry sweet set.
I tinted the green card i had with peeled paint
distress in as my card stock didn't pop out enough
against the papers.
I made the grass by using an icicle die from
Marianne Creatables that i just bought for my
Christmas cards, when i get round to making them.
I turned it upside down and used peeled paint
distress ink to highlight
or is it lowlight as it's darker.lol.
The sentiment stamps are from LOTV.
I also used my Clarity Feather stamp to
go round the edges with peeled paint ink, to give
it a jungle feel.

Shusssh!
Just to let you know
Next week is very special for
Papertake it's our Birthday
4 years i believe so
we are going to have a very special challenge,
and lots of chances to win some goodies.
So don't forget to look in and check it out.

Thanks for stopping by today
and hope to see you over at

Take care

inkadinkado and stamped it onto a
