Papertake Weekly Anything goes

Hi again still wet and windy here,
great excuse to craft.
This time at Papertake weekly
it's Anything goes week
and the optional extra is to use
a shape card.

We are sponsored this week by
Lili of the valley
so there will be great prizes up for grabs.

This gave me the chance to play with my
XXl circle dies from Go create.
I have seen some wonderful circle
cards in blog land, i had to get the
large dies so i could make my own.
( I needed them)..lol

We have no sooner got into September and
i have gone all Autumny (if that's a word).
I have used this cute fairy from LOTV and
stamped her onto water colour paper
and painted her with inktence pencils and a brush.
The papers are from MME i think it is their
Bloom and grow set, can't find the front cover.
Sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly.
Flowers are the Poppies from Wild Orchid crafts.
Ribbon from stash.
Used Wild Honey ink to distress the edges.

Happy Birthday Jack

Hi again i'm back with this weeks

We have a fabulous sketch from our very talented
Dawny P to follow and this week
we are sponsored by
Simon Says Stamp.

A bit of a different card for me this week
It's my sons birthday end of this week
and gosh he's 14.
He loves graffiti art and he is always
doodling his name in tag form.
So i decided to add some
graffiti style letters on his card.
I looked through images on the Internet and
came across this style, printed off the
alphabet then with a light box traced it onto
super smooth card  ready to colour with my
Polychromos pencils.
I noticed a lot of the art is multicoloured
and i love Red, Orange and Yellow together
and they are suitable for a guy.

I turned the sketch upside down i thought it
would work better for me that way

The papers are from Raspberry Road.
The stamp is from a retro transport
stamp set from Kanban crafts.
The buttons were all a pale yellow so i
coloured them with permanent marker pens
to make them match, and added contrasting wool.

I think i'm safe showing it to you all before he
sees it he never looks on my page
"It's all about cards, it's boring"
is what he said the one and only time he looked.
If it's got nothing to do with XBox,
BMX, skateboarding or camper vans
he's not interested.

Thanks for looking

wavy rose and leaf dies.
I also used a Marianne die for the flower and a
circle die to cut out the sentiment , which is
also from Cuddly Buddly.

magazine freebie.
Inked the edges with warn lipstick distress ink,
and added star dust glitter glue.

these cards been around? and i'm only just
getting round to making one.
Never mind i get there in the end.. LOL.

I must say though i had great fun making it
and will definitely make another.

I used silver stickles on banner and
Dried marigold distress ink on image and tag.

Grow your own

Hi again, guess what the suns shining
hurray i've managed to get some washing done.
The basket was starting to overflow, although
they have forecast really bad weather
tomorrow for the north west, so i have done two
loads and i'm only half way through the pile.

It's Papertake weekly time again
and this weeks challenge is to

Grow Your Own

We want to see handmade flowers on your
wonderful creations and this week
we are sponsored by the fabulous
Whiff of Joy.

I have used a fab Fizzy Moon stamp
that i picked up at the craft shop the other day
and i actually got my copics out to colour.
I love the way it has turned out i coloured it
a bit differently to normal, i dabbed the
ink on instead of colouring and i
think my shading looks better doing it this way.

The sentiment came with the stamp set.
Flowers are made using Raspberry road papers and
Paper Artsy grunge type flower and leaf die.
The ribbon is a market find.

The image is cut with a new die from X cut,
you even get a magnetic sheet with the set
to store the dies on which is brill.

Oh well my tummy's starting to rumble
i think it's time for lunch.
Thanks for stopping by

Teddy Bea cupcake pincushion

Hi all hope you are well.
It's Papertake time again and this week is

Anything Goes.
with the option of using metal
eg. corner, charm etc.
Which is sponsored by
Lili of the Valley and
Wild Orchid Crafts.

As you might know i have been teaching myself
to crochet, and trawling through the  web i
  found some fabulous creations. Cupcakes
seem to be very popular, i then saw the
crochet creations by the wonderful Tab, she is so clever
she crochet booties, teddies and some
delish cupcakes which i used as my inspiration.

I then trawled the Internet for patterns and
came across a fab site here that has lots of free patterns
for just about anything.
so using bits from different patterns
and 5 cupcake experiments later i made this.
I am so chuffed with it.

I then used jump rings to
add a tag made with a teddy Bea image
and coloured it with polychromos pencils
to match the cupcake.
Used coordinated pins and added
three metal charms,
a butterfly, flower and a handmade for you charm.

It's perfect now as a little gift for someone,
although i don't know who yet, all my rellie's
might get them for christmas.lol.

Papertake challenge Sketch 58

Hi all i'm back with this weeks Papertake
weekly challenge

it's sketch time.

and we are sponsored this week by
Simon Says Stamp.

Finally used my Strawberry Tilda, she's been sat in the
packet unopened for a while...tut tut.
That's not like me i usually open new stamps straight
away, but i have been crocheting more just lately
and had not got round to opening it.
Then it got buried under some papers,
and forgotten about ..oops  well
you get the picture.

I have used these fab papers from Raspberry Road
from the Wild Strawberry set.

I used my new Marianne creatables die
to make a jam pot cover, though i'm not happy
about where i have put the sentiment,
it makes the red check paper look lopsided, i only
noticed it when i took the picture's after
and i couldn't be bothered to start again.

I coloured the image with Polychromos pencils.
Sentiment is from LOTV,  and i have used
a Martha Stewart Heart border punch.

Well thanks for looking ,i'm off to have
some lunch then it's back into the garden i have
a mountain of soil to spread out ready for grassing.

Lets Get Cute

Hi all it's Papertake time again
and this weeks challenge is

Getting Cute

as you might have guessed
we want to see all those cute cards
which will be easy, as there are so many cute images
out there.
We are sponsored this week by
Digital Delights.

I have dug out my Sarah Kay images
that i had actually coloured a long time ago with
Copics and have been sat in a box waiting to be used.

As the theme is cute i had to go
with my favourite colour Pink.
Papers are from Raspberry Road.

My Doohickey flower dies arrived a few days ago
at last, i ordered them online from Crafts U Love
then i got an email saying they had run out of stock and i had to wait for the next delivery.
Anyway nearly a month later i've got them,
so i had to play.

Flourishes and sentiment tag
are from Marianne Creatables dies.

I have added gems to the flourishes.

Thanks for stopping by today
and hope you join in and have a play.

Ha ha i'm a poet and i didn't know it.
Gosh that takes me back,
we used to say that when we were
kids.

Papertake Sketch challenge

Hi all managed to get my list of
jobs for today done.

I'm back with my card for this weeks
Papertake Weekly Challenge

It's a sketch challenge
this week

The sketch is designed by Dawny P,
she is so talented and they are
great to follow,  especially when i have a
mental block and struggle with a layout.

I have been practicing my Crochet.
I bought a book last week from my local wool shop
that is full of patterns for making crochet flowers.
This one on my card is a string of flowers, you can
make it as long as you like.
This was my second go i thought the shape
on this was much better ( i am still learning).
I'm getting better though i made a Pansy and a
double flower that looks a bit like a water Lilly
last night, hold on a sec I'll go and take a picky for you.

Here you are.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them yet
i think they are a bit to big to go on cards,
i just love to make them.

Anyway back to my card

I have used one of the new Magnolia stamps
coloured with Polychromos pencils.
I have used one of spellbinders wonky squares
and inked the edges with antique linen
distress in, i also stamped the LOTV sentiment with
the same ink.
The papers are from Dovecraft's Sugar and Spice
paper pack.
Added some stickles glitter glue here and there.

Better get a move on it's Beth's sports day
at school this afternoon.
Thanks for looking
