Mother's Day part 3

Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful Mums out there
I hope you all got spoilt
I did,
I got a lovely box of yummy chocolates and
Beth made me a fabulous cushion for my chair
with here own fair hands.

I decided I wasn't happy with the first Mother's Day
cards I made so I made two more.

I'm a lot happier with these and
both Mums loved them.
I've also added some of flowers i made,
i need to make some more of these i've none left.

The stamps are both from Elusive images
I have coloured them with Distress markers.
The papers are from the Rose Garden paper pad
from First Edition.
Sentiments I made on the computer,
lace and doily from stash.

Thanks for stopping by and
enjoy the rest of your day

Mothers Day card part 2

Hi there I've been having another play, it started
when I was having a root around my stamping draw.
I found this stamp that hadn't ever been inked.

 tut! tut!

The stamp is called Tiffany
by Krista Smith

I got out my Copics and tried the flicking technique and I love the
results I got with the hair.

Then trawling round blog land came across a blog called
Crafting life's pieces and saw a fab tutorial on making
Your own flowers so I had to have a go.

Here are a few I made they are made from watercolour paper
except the large pink one which I made out of layout paper.
The rest I put on my card.

You should pop by and check out the tutorial they are so easy
to make.

So here's my card

It turned into another Mother's Day card,
Basically because I already had the sentiment made,
It was lying on my desk and matched perfectly so why not.

I really enjoyed making this card it's got a bit of shabby chic going on
and I'll definitely be making more flowers.

Thanks for stopping by

Birthday Girl

Hi there hope you are well, just popped on to show you the
card i made for my MIL.
It was her birthday yesterday.

I got my polychromos pencils out for this one
i had forgot how much i love to
colour with these or should i say
colouring in general.
I can see a big pile of coloured images
growing on my desk in the future waiting to be made into cards.
I'll probably end up with more images than cards made.

hay ho.

Who knew!

Who knew that it wasn't me or the markers I was having
trouble with.

It was the paper. I thought that I had a good quality one but no.

Doing a bit of research on the matter I found out that a lot of
people recommend  The Langton watercolour paper, they do
a smooth pad for fine art.
I popped into my local art shop to get some and hay presto
everything is blending beautifully.

I'm so pleeezzzzed with results it does make all the difference.

No lines Tilda

OMG I must have spent 3 hours last night doing this,
it was a lot harder than I thought it would be.
I did feel like I was getting better at it the more i painted.

I'm not to happy with the face and hair I think I have messed
around with it to much. Her face is to dark I feel, but I love the flowers, dress
and boots.

I used my new Disress markers on some watercolour paper.
I did start off using the markers straight onto the paper but found it hard to blend
when the paper got wet so I scribbled the pens onto an acrylic block and painted
with them I got loads better results this way.

Apologises for the picture, I took the photo last night when I finished around
midnight and I'm now sat in bed having a lazy Sunday morning posting on my
iPad. I did manage to get an editing app

I have tried to brighten it up a little on this photo but I think is
probably a good idea for me to take photos during the day in good light.

I love this technique though, it looks so natural and hand painted,
I'm deffo going to practice more, and try not to end up with a numb bum next time Lol!!

Items used

Angel pink memento ink pad
Watercolour paper
Distress ink markers
Artist paint brush

MoJo is back

There you go what did i say my carding Mo Jo is back and
I've made another card.

This one i have made for Beth's friends Birthday
which is in a couple of weeks.
It's been great looking through my cupboard again
finding things i had forgotten i had, It feels all new again.
I still have the bottom to
have a good search through yet god knows whats in there.

I've also had fun trying to get my head around my
photo editor and using blogger again i'm getting there.
I tried with the ipad but the photo's weren't great.
I'm sure there will be a photo editor app, I'll have to investigate.

On to the card i have used one of my Elizabeth Bell stamps i think
this one was called Picking Apples.
i have coloured her with Promarkers
 Tea Green
Grey Green
Pear Green
Blossom
Rose Pink
Satin
Caramel
for the skin i have used Copics
E00, E000, E11, E21 and R20

The papers are Summer Breeze by First Edition, love the colours in this pad.
I seem to be into an Aqua and Brown mood at the moment
as you will see with the other card i've made,
i'll show you another time.

I also popped into one of my local
craft shops yesterday for the first time in
2 years to get some doubled sided tape.
I have looked all over and couldn't find my old one.

So i ended up buying some new scissors, tape,
two new stamps sets,
they are the Santoro's Gorjuss stamps
Ladybird and White Rabbit.
I also got the matching 12x12 paper pack.

It didn't take me long to get back into old habbits.
Ha! Ha!

Right i'm off to have a play with my new stamps
Thanks for popping by

My first cards in like forever

Yes you read right I have opened my craft cupboard door
and made some cards. Shock, horror.

I just felt in the mood yesterday so I made a couple of
Mother's Day cards.

I think it was seeing the daffodils in the garden, I felt like
stamping and doing a bit of colouring which turned into making some
cards.

I made them both the same, lets not get too carried away here. It's been, well
let's think summer 2012 so approaching 2 years since I last made a card
and my Copic markers are as good as the day I put them down,
I also have to remember where everything is.

I can't seem to find my double sided tape though so I used glue, I wonder if B
has borrowed it permanently I shall have to investigate.

The stamp I used was from Elusive Images but I don't think they exists anymore.
Coloured with Copic markers.
The paper is from a spring Forever Friends paper pad.

While sorting through my cupboard I found my drawing pad with
this sketch i made last year and thought I would share it with you.
The picture is out of a flower book I have and
I used Polychromos pencils and blending solution to colour it in.
I might have to frame it and put it on my wall, I love fuchsias.

Thanks for stopping by today and you never know I have 2
Birthdays this month, I might have to delve into the cupboard again!

Xxxxxxxx
