Papertake Sketch challenge

Hi all managed to get my list of
jobs for today done.

I'm back with my card for this weeks
Papertake Weekly Challenge

It's a sketch challenge
this week

The sketch is designed by Dawny P,
she is so talented and they are
great to follow,  especially when i have a
mental block and struggle with a layout.

I have been practicing my Crochet.
I bought a book last week from my local wool shop
that is full of patterns for making crochet flowers.
This one on my card is a string of flowers, you can
make it as long as you like.
This was my second go i thought the shape
on this was much better ( i am still learning).
I'm getting better though i made a Pansy and a
double flower that looks a bit like a water Lilly
last night, hold on a sec I'll go and take a picky for you.

Here you are.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them yet
i think they are a bit to big to go on cards,
i just love to make them.

Anyway back to my card

I have used one of the new Magnolia stamps
coloured with Polychromos pencils.
I have used one of spellbinders wonky squares
and inked the edges with antique linen
distress in, i also stamped the LOTV sentiment with
the same ink.
The papers are from Dovecraft's Sugar and Spice
paper pack.
Added some stickles glitter glue here and there.

Better get a move on it's Beth's sports day
at school this afternoon.
Thanks for looking

Teddy Bo Tuesday

Good morning all it's glorious here today
i got two loads of washing in and I'm
making the most of a dry day.

Got a busy one today, i had a day off yesterday
and now i have a 101 things to do today, why does
that seem to happen.

Anyway it's Teddy Bo Tuesday and
the challenge this fortnight is to make

Anything but a card

When i first saw the theme i had a wave of dread and
thought oh no not a card, out of my comfort zone.
But  having a rummage through my craft cupboard
i came across this memo block that i must
of had over 10 years it's a relic from
my cross stitch days.
To be really honest i had forgot i bought it ,
smack my hand.
So i had to use it.

The images are of course from Teddy Bo
and i have coloured them with Polychromos pencils
The papers are from Wild Rose Studio lilac mist
paper pad.
Paper lace is made using a Marianne Creatables die.

It's also release day at
check out the new designs

There are some fab images for those
summer themed cards.
Go check them out.

Anyway that's 5th job on the list done.
Check

Will be back later with the papertake challenge
that's umpteenth on the list.lol.

Thanks for stopping by

Flutterby Butterfly

Good afternoon all hope you are all enjoying this warm
weather, make the most of it while it lasts.
I dug my maxi dress out this morning, I've not
had it on since my hols last year,
it was nice to see it again.

Did a bit of gardening yesterday but i had to stop, it
just got to hot, only managed to
deweed my veggie patch but anyway that's one less
job to do although it will be full again in a few
weeks knowing my weeds..lol.

I had a scout around the challenges yesterday.
I don't know why but i seemed to have
been out of the challenge
loop these last few weeks.
Anyway made a list and managed to
make this card for the following.

Lovely Hanglar only - Card for a Girl
Just Magnolia - Butterfly
Sweet stampin - Something old, something new
Ribbon girl - Pink and Cream
The Shabby Tea room - My favourite things

The stamp is from Hanglar, coloured with
Polychromos pencils and sansodor.
Papers are my favourite at the moment they are
from Raspberry Road 'oh so shabby'
they are all scrummy.
The butterfly is from Sheena's Paint fusion kit,and
i have used gold glitter embossing powder on the top.
The Flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts.

The sentiment is from one of the Stampman's
butterfly stamp sets, i have had these years and years
and have recently dug them out and rediscovered them
again, don't you love it when that happens
it's like buying new stamps again.

That's all for now

Teddy Bo sneaky peek

Hi all just a quickie today, thought i would give you a
sneak peek at one of the new images to be released at
Teddy Bo and Co
on Tuesday 28th June.

Teddy Bo is so cute off on his hike birdwatching.
The question is what kind of birds is he looking at?
don't tell Teddy Bea she might get jealous. Lol.

I have coloured him in with Polychromos pencils
and sansodor.
I have stamped round the edge of the image with one
of the addition corner stamps from Lili of the valley
in bundled sage distress ink.
The postcard is also from the same range and i
have used vintage photo distress ink.
The papers are from K&Co best of stack.
Bird die cut is Marianne Creatables.
Ribbon from the ribbon girl.

Here Comes the sun (fingers crossed)

Hi all I'm back as promised with my card
for this weeks Papertake Weekly
Challenge.

This week's theme is

HERE COMES THE SUN

Which is sponsored by the Ribbon Girl.

I don't know whether this theme will jinx things
especially as Wimbledon has just started,
they got rained off yesterday and it has been cloudy
and dull all day here, but fingers crossed the sun
will arrive soon. Pleeeeeez!

Not to sure whether i like this card or not, i
think it's because there's no flowers or ribbons on it.

Shaped the card on my rotary cutter
with the wave shape.
I have used one of Sheena's rubber stamps
i think this one is just the two of us.
Coloured with polychromos pencils and i added
glitter glue to the girls costume.
Made a beach scene with some Raspberry
Road digi papers on the computer.
The sentiment is from LOTV.
Shells off the beach at the end of the road,
had fun looking for tiny ones to go on the card.

Oooh!  Oooh!
just had a thought i should have stamped
the sentiment onto yellow card
it would have looked like the sun.
Gurrr! To late now.
Never mind.

Also thought i would share with you these piccies
i have taken of my fuchsia's,
they are one of my favourite flowers.
This first one is a Standard that i grew myself
from a cutting, This is it's third flowering year and
it's not let me down this is the best it's ever been.

The rest i have bought this year to go in
my hanging baskets and pots.
They are just coming out and looking beautiful.

and to show you the new releases over at
Then I'll be back later with today's Papertake weekly
card and challenge.

Anyway here is my card and i have used
one of the new digi stamps which are
being released today

Go and check them out they are just so cute
i really love the ones dressed in their costumes.

You will all be shocked, i have actually got my
markers out again, and used them.
I have used a mixture of pro's and copics.
I love the grey selection in the promarkers better
than copics, don't know why I'm strange like that.
The sentiment is computer generated.
The papers are Wild Rose Studio lilac mist.
The flowers are from wild orchid crafts.
Ribbon from the ribbon girl.
Martha Stewart doily punch.
paper doily from stash.

Thanks for looking and I'll be back

So basically male cards.
We are sponsored by WOJ Stamps
They have a fab stamp up for grabs
as the winner prize.

I've made this one for the kids to give
to their dad,
He loves his VW camper so i had to use one,
this is a stamp from Kabana.
Decided to use the sketch over at Just Magnolia
this week so added Edwin surfer dude.
After, i then realised you also had to use flowers on
your card so could not enter. Bummer!
Anyway
Both are coloured with Polychromos pencils
and sansodor.
The papers and postcard
are from K&co 12 x12 best of paper stack.
Made a sort of tyre print with a Martha Stewart
border punch.

Anniversary Wishes

Hi all hope you are well, I'm still coughing like
a trooper, just can't seem to shift it.
Anyway, we have just celebrated our
18th wedding anniversary
on Sunday, I'll tell you it certainly
doesn't feel like 18 years, more like 10,
where has the time gone and if you find
it please sent it back! Pleeeez.

I mentioned our anniversary to tie in nicely
with my card and this weeks
It's Anything Goes week
sponsored by LOTV
with the option of using an all white
card with the choice of one other colour
excluding hair/skin colours.

Killing two birds with one stone i
made this for my husband.
When i first saw this stamp from LOTV
i wanted to use it for an anniversary card, i thought
it was perfect, although unfortunately we can't
share a bath, Marks 6 foot 7 and there's just
no room left for me (we have tried). LOL.

Anyway back to the card
I had just got some digi papers from Raspberry Rd
and this was in the set so that's
were the blue came in.
I used my wonky rectangles from spellbinders
and embossed one using a mica mask.
I have used Polychromos pencils and
glitter for the bubbles.
Inked with Faded Jeans distress ink.
The sentiment is computer generated.
Ribbon is seam binding from the ribbon girl
Pin from stash.

OOOh posties just posted a packet from
sirstampalot must be the Tilda's i ordered
so i'm off to play.
Hope you pop over to papertake
and have a go this week
