The simple things in life

Hi all hope you are well and had
a fab weekend.
We went to our first VW show for this year
although we had rain showers a good weekend was
had by all.
The blanket did it's job and kept me warm.
Here's my card for this weeks

It's a sketch challenge this
time designed by our
fabulous teamie
Dawny, she is so clever at
dreaming them up i always
enjoy following them.

The prize this challenge is a
$20 voucher
from
Simon Says Stamp.

I'm being good and resisting not buying any more
new stamps or crafty stash,
 my cupboards can't take anymore.
It's made me rediscover some oldies but goodies
that had been neglected.
I have a pile of these Sarah Kay stamps, they are
so pretty and a joy to colour.
She is coloured with Copic markers.
The papers are from the Bloom and grow set.
Flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts.
The sentiment is a digi from Cuddly buddly.

Thanks for looking

A Stitch in Time

Hi all hope you are well,
I seem to be in a bit of a yellow theme
at the moment.
This is the third card on the trot it has made
an appearance, i think I'll
blame it on the time of year.

The challenge theme over at
Papertake this week
is
A Stitch in Time.
sponsored by The Ribbon Girl.

We want to see some sort of stitching
 on your projects,  whether it's
fake or real is up to you.

A few weeks ago when i was rooting through
a pile of stash that seemed to be getting
bigger.( You know how it is, it's getting so
big that you either tidy it up or it's going to
collapse). I came across some long lost
decoupage books, the no scissors required ones.
2 books of Flowers and a Teddy one.
These Daffs seemed to jump out at me so i had
to make a card with them.
The papers i matched up were out of my bits box
i think they originally came part of a magazine
freebie with the sentiment.
I also used a Spellbinders die shape
and Mustard seed distress ink
around the edges.

These no scissor required books are fab you get
a few sheets of vellum, card and sentiments in with
pages of decoupage, how could i of forgotten about
them. My Hubby would say perhaps i have
to much stuff, i hate to say but i think he's right
but don't tell him i said that....Lol.

Thanks for stopping by today and
i hope to see your creations over at
Papertake.
Take care

Rosy Cosy

Hi all hope you are well,
i have just finished making the cosy for
the Tea Pot i bought when we go
off in the camper&caravan.

Yes i think i have finally gone Lime Green
mad.
When I'm out and about if i see anything
in this fab green that
fits into camping life I've just got to have it.

 The pattern for this cosy
is out of April's edition of
Knit Today magazine, issue 71.
I have used their flower, as well
as add some basic rosettes and leaves.
The Cosy is made using Aran yarn.
I used left over yarn from my blanket to make
the flowers and leaves.

I had to go in the caravan just to
try it out, It matches really well as
you can see from the photo's.
All ready for our next little jolly.

Take care

April Rain

Hi all hope you had a fab Easter.
I'm glad we had our get together and egg hunt on
Sunday because it rained and rained and
rained yesterday. I don't think it stopped all day.
It ended up being a lazy day at home.

Which takes me nicely to my card for this

April showers or water theme projects.
(we had plenty of that yesterday)

This week we are sponsored by
Whiff of Joy.

As soon as i saw the theme i knew the stamp i
wanted to use.
I seem to say this a lot about Tilda's but this
it one of my favourite's.
I have used copics to colour her in and the
papers are from Papermania's
Portobello Rd paper pack.
I teamed it up with yellow paper.
I love these colours together.
Sentiment is a stamp from one of
Beth's Smirk stamp sets.
Flowers are from Prima.
Glitter brads from stash.
If you have time
please pop over and check out the other
DT's fabulous work.

I've also been busy last week making new
curtains for our little
Eriba caravan.
It's nearly time for the VW camper shows
to get under way so i wanted to
spruce the old girl up.

The colours match well with my
Kettle and cups etc.
One day i would love a bay window camper
in Lime green.

I have also made some matching crochet covers
for three Tupperware pots i bought at a car
boot last week.
I'm going to use these for Tea's and coffee.
I've also managed to buy a Lime green
Tea pot, now i will have to make a cozie
(that's my next project sorted).

Thanks for dropping by today
Take care

Easter Chicks

Hi all just popped on to wish you all a

HAPPY EASTER

and to show you what i made
yesterday.

Shopping in Asda on Thursday
they had these fab little troughs
full of daffs so i treated myself to one instead
of an egg.

Then Beth said she wanted to do an Easter hunt
so we bought some little eggs to hide, then
i came across this pattern in simply knitting
magazine, they are the right size to hide a
Cadbury's Cream egg inside.

So that's when i had a light bulb moment and
secretly began to make them, i thought i would
place them round the garden for her to find.

I made two last night I'll make some more tonight.
They are so sweet and don't really take that long
to make.

Although these two look quiet happy sat
 in between the the daffs
they might have to stay there.

Have a great Easter
Take care

Mellow Yellow

Hi all hope you are well,
What did i say the other day, kids are on
school hols and it bucketing it down
here today. After all that gorgeous weather
we had last week as well, I'm back in my
woolly jumpers again.

Anyway my card will brighten up the day
even if we don't see the sun.

It's for this weeks

The theme is Anything goes with
the option on using a Monotone colour
scheme.
As always this challenge is sponsored by the
wonderful
Lili of the Valley.

With all the sunshine last week i
decided to create my own bit of sun
and went for a yellow theme.
I wanted to play with my steampunk stamps
and stuck some angel wings onto a
pretty Kanban dress stamp.
The wings also (loosely) act like the hands on a clock.
The clock die is Tim Holtz.
Flowers Wild Orchid and market finds.
The sentiment is a Hero Arts stamp.
I used promarkers to colour the image in.
The paper is from Papermania's yellow
capsule collection.

Short and sweet for my today i have
lots of projects on the go that need
my attention.( Any excuse).Lol.
Thanks for stopping by and please check
 out the wonderful creations from
my other papertake teamies they are all
fabulous.

Take care
