Hi all It's Papertake day as well as pancake day
and so the theme we have this week is
yes you guessed
LEMON ZINGY
My card came about when my daughter Beth wanted to paint a watercolour picture of some flowers in a vase.
Which made me think of some flower stamps i have from
Elusive Images.
So i stamped them in a bit of an arrangement
for her and thought this would be a good idea to use
as your own backing paper.
So i randomly stamped a few images on some watercolour
paper and painted them. I then coloured a sweet pea image to go on top but it looked to fussy. So after a little play i thought it looked better with just the sentiment with a small bunch of flowers
and a ribbon on it.
I stamped the flowers with dove grey stayzon so it looked
more like hand drawn.
I painted it with water colour crayons and a brush and added some glamour dust here and there.
I really enjoyed making this card, i don't have much space,
but I'm keeping this on on my desk, i love it.
So please pop over to
Papertake Weekly and have a go
and i hope you all enjoy your pancakes tonight
i know my lot will.
Thanks

I had to pop and say how gorgeous this is when I saw it on the PTW blog and wanted to know what the flower background was and am so glad you stamped it.
ReplyDeleteYou're a girl after my own heart as I stamp most of my own papers too (apart from Polka Doodles DT work!) and love seeing someone else who has done this.
Will stop gushing now lol
