My first Crochet Cushion

Hi all just a quickie. Here it is
my Crochet cushion.
I have used granny squares on the front
i got the pattern here

I made a giant granny square for the back.
I sc round the cushion to join the two pieces
together and left one end open and put
buttons on to fasten it.

I have made it to go on a shabby chic chair i have.
I wasn't going to paint the chair but looking at it
on the photo's it looks dull and drab,
so i might have to touch it up.

and came across this one.

I cut a large window out and put acetate
behind. It's perfect for three tea lights.

The papers are printed from
the Seasons Greetings Artylicious CD ROM.
Flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts.

The snowflakes are made with a Marianne
Creatables die with silver mirror card.

Ribbon from stash.

These crackers are a great size for any
little gift and great fun to make.

Let it snow

Good morning all hope you are well.
Well here it is the other Christmas
decoration i have altered.

It started off life dark blue with snowflakes and
dots on it, which was OK but i wanted to play.
I started off painting it with several coats of
Acrylic white paint.

I then used a brilliance ink pad in blue
and stamped the snowflakes.
using a Clarity corner stamp.

I then used a silver brilliance pad to stamp
the swirls, this is  the New years swirl from Magnolia.
I struggled a bit because the silver ink pad it's extremely
old and had nearly dried out.
Must buy new one.

I then edged it with silver stickles and dotted
Star dust stickles on the snowflakes.

I haven't had much time for crafting at the moment
i'm half way through repainting the main rooms
in the house. Giving it a bit of a refresh
before Christmas.
It seems to have snowballed really.
I only meant to do the hall, which turned
into the conservatory and now the lounge.
I then thought i might as well do the kitchen while i've
got all the paint stuff out.
So i can't even see my craft corner for all the
stuff that had to be moved.
Oh well best get back to it.

When is a card not a card?

Hi all hope you are well.

I made an easel card to fit on top of the
choccie box.
I used a large Go Kreates frilly die for the card
i backed it with Tatty Teddy papers.
The images are from a Tatty Teddy clear
stamp set, Coloured with
Polychromos pencils and sansodor.
Flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts.
Ribbon and lace are from my stash.

Christmas Clock

Hi all hope you are well.
I thought i would show you my latest
project. I actually bought this clock
from B&M bargains for £3.99 what a bargain.
The great thing is, it was easy to take apart
to get to the face to decorate.
I've had it since the summer, I've been trying to decide
what to do with it.
So i finally decided to make a Christmas clock.

I have used this super cute Tilda from the
new Christmas range, i think she is my favourite
at the moment she is just totally gorgeous to colour.
I have stamped her onto card and
coloured her with Polychromos pencils and
blended with sansodor.
I stamped the snowflakes straight onto the clock
with Ultramarine Stazon and repeat stamped
several times to get some faded flakes.
I then glued the Tilda in position and added
Star Dust Stickles.

I painted the clock with white Acrylic paint to
make it whiter, to go with the shabby chic bit's
i have and the blues will match the
Blue, silver and white theme of my Christmas tree.

I really enjoyed altering this clock,
(I'm glad i bought two).
I just have to decide what to do with the other.

I have also just finished altering another
cheap Christmas decoration but i will save that
for another day.

First Christmas at Papertake

Hi all  hope you are well.
It's Paperake time again and this week's
theme is

First Christmas
although you probably have quite a few
Christmas cards under your belts already.

This weeks challenge is sponsored by
The fabulous Dies to Die for
the prize is a £10 voucher to
spend in their shop.

I have used another one of the new Christmas
Tilda stamps, this one is called Holly Tilda.
I coloured her in with promarkers.
I dug out my Vintage Christmas flower soft
to trim the edge of the image.
The papers are from Papermania's
Silent night set.
Sentiment is from Lili of the valley.
Ribbon from my stash.

Beth loved her Letter B and her bath bombs
she used one the other night.
It was lovely there where little flower
petals inside it that slowly fizzed out,
and it smelt gorgeous.
I wouldn't say they where cheap at
£1.99 each but for a treat they where
lovely.
She's asked if we can get more, maybe.... for
stocking fillers.

Bath Bomb box

Morning all, just thought I'd show you
what i got up to last night.
I had bought these fab bath bombs for
Beth a while ago they are like
little cakes.
To be honest i only remembered about
them last night, so had to whip up a box
to put them in.

It's a good job she's away a school camp
then i didn't have to try and make it in secret.

I made the box on my Scor-pal using some kraft
card i got from Papermania.
Cut out a viewing window and put
acetate in.
I used a stamp i got with in new
Me to You clear stamp set.
i stamped with Vintage Photo then i also
stamped with Versa Mark and used
gold twinkle embossing powder.
Finished it off with a lining of fuchsia
pink tissue paper and a matching ribbon.

We have to go and collected her from camp
after lunch so she will be home later
to open the pile of presents she has got.

Birthday B

Hi all hope you are well.
Just a quickie
here is something i have made for Beth
it's her Birthday tomorrow.
We had seen these large letters in the
craft shop and she kept saying "ooh  i would love
one of those all painted".
Little did she know i had already got her one
and had decorated it using her
favourite Tilda.
The butterflies i cut using a spellinders
die and some Tim Holtz grunge board.
I couldn't just get it to cut all the way through
so had to finish it off with a knife.
I then painted the Letter and butterflies with
Acrylic paint in White and Pink.
The flowers are from Wild orchid crafts.
Lace, gems and Buckle from my stash.

By a funny coincidence it's my Dad's
birthday tomorrow as well.
Spooky or what.
Here is the card i made for him

He loves photography so the fab
Teddy Bo image was perfect for him.
I have coloured him in with promarkers.
The papers are from Raspberry road
Beach Bliss set.
The sentiment is from Hero Arts.
I have used vintage photo distress ink.
I made the photo corners with brown packing paper
and gold embossing powder.

Steampunk Dress

Hi all hope you are well.
The Kiddies are back at school so i can get
back to normal, i never seem to have as much time for
crafting when they are at home.

Before i get onto this weeks Papertake card
i wanted to say a big Thanks to the team over
at Simon says stamp challenge
I won last weeks challenge
WooHooo!
a massive $50 voucher to spend in their
store.
It took me all of five mins to spend it
and more (don't tell hubby).
Can't wait for it all to arrive and have a play.

Right this week over at Papertake
it's an
Anything goes week
with the option of adding bling and sparkle.

Which is sponsored by the
fab girls over at Lili of the Valley.

I have tried something a bit different this
week. I love the new stamps that Kanban
have done in the new Steam punk range.
I saw them on C&C, ummd and ahhd
then managed to get the Vivien set off
ebay. The dresses are just fabulous.

I have also tried another new technique
colouring onto kraft card, that's a lot
harder than you think.
I have only tried with my Polychromos pencils
at the moment, it did
look good, i then sprayed the dress with
Crafters companions Spray and sparkle
glitter and it dulled the colours down a lot.
I'll not do that again.

The papers are from Raspberry Road
Renaissance set. I got the clock and old
advert images off the internet which i distressed
with old paper and vintage photo distress inks.
I have added Platinum glitter glue for a bit
more sparkle.

That's all for now  hope to see you at
