Tilda with Flower

Hi there hope you all had  nice Easter break,
we went away in the camper for the weekend and OMG
i think the whole world had decided to
do the same, what would normally be a 2 hour journey
turned into 4 1/2 hours, the motorways
where horrendous.  We don't normally go far on
bank holidays now i remember why.
Anyhow we did have a brill time when we got there
so all's well.

On to my card i treated myself
to a new Tilda although she's not new new she has been
around for a while, Sir Stampalot has just replenished
stocks and i couldn't resist.

I've had another go at the no lines technique
this time using Memento Desert sand stamp pad.
I haven't gone mad this time and painted it as
i would normally.

I'm much happier with the results
but more practice
is still needed though.

I have used Distress Markers
in the colours
Warm Lipstick, Scattered Straw, Tattered rose,
Antique linen, vintage photo, Weathered wood,
Pumice stone and Shaded Lilac

I have also made some more coffee filter paper
flowers. The great thing is you can match
them with the same colours used in your card.

I used
Warm Lipstick and Scattered straw.

I made the banner using
a spellbinders die shape and
glued it to some bakers twine and put little
hearts on.
Papers are a Raspberry Road digi, my printer had a paddy and
printed it out with more pink in which i quite
liked so i used it. I have stamped
a swirl in warm lipstick on the edge.
Joy craft butterfly die,
Tim Holtz sentiment
Ribbon and lace from stash.

Thanks for stopping by and
have a fab weekend.

Easter Bunny

Hi again here's the second Easter card.
I have used an old LOTV stamp can't remember it's name
I found it while rummaging in my stamps draw, I came across
Lots of stamps I'd forgotten about. Ooh! It was like, you know when
Mr or Mrs Postie drops a crafty parcel through your door, excitement,
Something new. Well I had that feeling again.

I have used Distress Markers to colour him in,
I also treated myself to a pot of stampendous Frantage
In shabby white. I have noticed it on a lot of your cards
and I love the look you get from it,
 it's fabulous.

I've had a go at making some more flowers
Following this tutorial from Chelsea over at
Crafting life's pieces.
Who knew you could have so much fun with
Coffee filter paper!
Oh wow look at that sparkle you get from the
Frantage when the sun hits it, ooh I love it.

I have used a go kreates die to make a shaped card.
The papers are some digi ones I found I think they are from
Bearly mine designs.
I have used the joy craft butterflies again (love these as well).
Frantaged them to, although I might have to invest in a
Heat tool that's more gentle, mine blasted a lot of embossing
powder off.
Roses are from WOC.
Marianne creatables swirl dies.
Lace from stash.

I loved using this shape card makes a change from
the regular square. I put it together on top of the
envelope so i knew it would still fit in.

Thanks for stopping by today
and i hope you all have a
HAPPY EASTER.

Daphne

Hi all here's the first of two Easter cards I've made,
I managed to take a photo before the sun went down.
They are not the best
I've noticed a few shadows from the tree in the garden.
Never mind.

This image is called Daphne.
I just love the digi images from Wee Stamps
they are all so cute, so i couldn't resist when
i saw her, just in time for Easter cards.

I have coloured her with Polychromos pencils
and blended with sansodor.
I have added glamor dust to her wings, well she is
a fairy, isn't it the law.

The papers are from a Forever Friends
spring paper pad.
I have also used an X Cut doily die and a
Joy craft butterfly on the edge die.
Flowers are from WOC.

Thanks for stopping by

Crochet cushion

Hi all you'll never guess what, yes yes
I'm making another cushion, I can't help myself.

I know I've got blankets to finish, there's a little voice in my
ear telling me so but when I saw this lovely cushion on the
Lavender and Wild rose blog I instantly new it was perfect for some cushions
I've been wanting to make to go on our bed.

I love the one colour theme it gives it a classy, understated look,
perfect for a bedroom.

I have gone for a pale pink I chose drops Lima DK it's  a mixture of
wool and Alpaca. Everyone seems to rate drops so I wanted to give it a
whirl and I'm impressed. It's great to crochet with comes in lots of great
colours and the price is quiet reasonable.
I got mine from the wool warehouse
using a discount code from a crochet magazine
so I got 10% off as well
 win,win.

Talking of crochet mags
I've just picked up this months simply crochet.
What could be better a milky coffee,
feet up and a browse through my favourite mag.
