Light of Beautitude

Hi all look what the postie brought the other day,
my stamps from Crafts and me.
Browsing around the craft shops on Sunday night i
saw Crafts and me had just had a delivery of quite a lot of the
new Ching-Chou Kuik's stamps in from sweet pea stampers,
so of course i had to put my order in.
I got a couple of the stamp sheets they are good value for money,
it's a good job i got them when i did, when i went on an hour later
they had sold out. You can still buy them individually though.

The stamp is called Light of Beautitude and i have coloured her with
promarkers she is gorgeous. I think i might have a go at using this
image for a Christmas theme when i make a start on my
Christmas cards. I know some of you have already started
but it doesn't seem right Christmas crafting with the sun shining
high in the sky.

I have used distress ink in chipped Sapphire around the image i love the way
it makes it look like night.
The sentiment was off the stamp sheet
and i have used the same distress ink to stamp and edge it.

The paper is from papermania capsule collection.
I have also used ribbon, brads, flowers and sticky backed gems.

Can't wait to play with the rest of them.

Have a Hoot

Hi all, yes it's still raining here in Lancashire,
it's hardly stopped since last week.
I'm sat here looking out my window and i can see
a Blackbird sheltering under my camper looking
like a drowned rat. But still we have a hosepipe ban
you've got to laugh! although with all this rain we don't
need to water the garden.

My card today is for the fab Sweet Pea Stampers
challenge, this week they have a colour theme
Black, White and a colour of you choice.
I have chosen Green.

The stamp i have used is one that i got as a prize
for winning the card of the month for June at
Sweet pea Stampers.
It's called Brown Hat Spring Fairy by Elaine Cox,
this is the first stamp I've got from this range but
I'm sure it won't be the last.
I have used a mixture of Copics and promarkers,
and my new Marianne Creatables frame and flourish die's
these are fab.
The sentiment is computer generated.
The paper was free from a magazine and i have
used a Martha Stewart flower punch for a border.

Thanks for looking today

Birthday Boy by Beth

Hi all no card from me today i've had the weekend off,
so i will share this fab card with you instead.
My nine year old daughter Beth made this for
her dad's birthday.
She stamped the image, coloured it with promarkers and
designed the layout all by herself.

She was very pleased with it and couldn't wait to give it her
dad who thought it was wonderful.
She likes nothing better than sitting next to me and
crafting, she's got her own ever growing stamp collection and is
even talking about having her own craft area in her bedroom.
Her favourite stamps are the Tilda's, she is making
her own little catalogue of all the Tilda's I've got
as a reference, so she can choose which one she
wants to use without rooting through my boxes.

Hope you have a fab day

Criss- cross card

Hi all oh well never mind there's always next year Andy.
Here is today's card it's for the challenge over at
Just Magnolia. The challenge is to make a
Criss-cross card .
There's a fab tutorial for you to follow if like me
you haven't made one before.

I have also had a go at making the flower that's featured
in the latest issue of Magnolia Ink magazine.
I wanted to craft last night but didn't know what to do
then remembered this flower so i
had a play. It was fun, i really like the effect.

I have used stickles to add a bit of glitz and a few Martha Stewart
branch punched leaves.

I have used the new Tilda with peony as i thought it matched
the flower i made. I have coloured her with
polychromos pencils and sansador with paper stumps.
The DP is K&Company Mckenna paper pad.
I love these papers the are all fab.
I Stamped the image onto one of the new nellie's oval shapes,
edged it with deep scarlet polychromos pencil
and blended then put stickles on the top.
I used Martha Stewart's doily lace trim deep edge punch.
Ribbon bows, leaf pin and diamante gems.

Hope you all have a fab weekend and the
weather stays sunny.
