Pot of daffs

Hi all hope you are well and
enjoying your weekend.

Just wanted to share with you a little something
i made last night.
You know how it is, i happened to be passing
my local yarn shop and somehow the
car seemed to stop right outside.
Who was i to argue so in i went to have a look.

WELL

Staring at me from the shelf was
some gorgeous
Louisa Harding Ianthe yarn
in some yummy colours so i had to take them home.
i love the muted tones

Looking through blog land i came across
tins that had crochet covers on them see here
My mum had bought me a pot of daffs so
when i saw these i thought what a great idea
and had to make one
Guess which yarn i had to use.

I used a Pineapple rings tin instead of tuna.
I used a mixture of crochet stitches
Double, Half Double and treble.

And

Ta..  Dah..

I'm really pleased how it turned out.

I left long ends when i changed colours,
after i had sewn the edges together i pulled
all the ends out of the top,
then made them into a tassel to cover the join.

The tin fits the daffs pot perfectly.

It now has pride of place on the kitchen windowsill.

The only thing now is they are quite addictive,
i might have to buy some more pineapple tins
when food shopping next week to make a matching set.

Good job we all like pineapples.

Thanks for looking
Take care
